When DVD is mentioned the first film that comes to mind is "The Matrix" and rightfully so. This is a film that could not be more perfect for DVD. ...a very nice package. The DVD has a 2.35:1 anamorphic widescreen picture and a nice Dolby Digital 5.1 soundtrack. The list of extras is good but the Region 1 version contains an isolated music score and a commentary. The thought just occured to me... was this just a clever way to reinvent superman? I guess we'll find out in the sequels. Think about it this way.... they've shown us he can fly, he's stronger than any normal person & he's pretty much invincible. The special effects in this film changes the way films were made, the story is amazing although confusing at times, definitely more understandable second time round. This film is exceptional! The film has a top notch cast and an amazing plot to follow. Out of the trilogy I put this down to my personal favorite. If you like Sci-Fi action then this film is right up your street! Absolutely brilliant!
