...over and over again.
The plot is a complexed one and you realy must see the first matrix to realy understand where the plot is coming from ( I think this could be its one and only down fall) But you have Trinny Neo Morpheus and some new and realy cool characters to enjoy getting to know.
Since Neo took the correct pill and stepped through the looking glass his life changed dramaticaly he came to relise that our real world wasnt real at all but ... ...our shell and stop being the computers batteries.
The plot is a hard one to explain and you realy have to watch the whole series to understand the individual films but i have seen all three and they kept me glued to my seat (well there was chewing gum on my cinema seat).
My favorite part of this film is all of neo's fighting action the special affects used in this film have shaped the way that all films enhance there fighting sequences i will be ...

Advantages: Good base and brilliant action sequences Disadvantages: poor scripts
The matrix first came out a whole five years ago and finally after dwelling on the possibilities of the sequels they are finally released closely together. The word matrix puts a host of flashy martial arts scenes into your head as soon as its spoken however realistically that and the special effects are really what the film is. The plot is hard for the slow minded but bombardment by the action packed explosive scenes prove to be a real hit with ... ...himself as a person. The first scene starts off with Trinity seemingly plunging to her death? But it suddenly shows you all that has happened to lead up to that point.
Other things of hardly any importance happen to but the things that really matter are the action sequences.
The best one in this movie is the traffic jam packed lane. Words cant describe this you really must see it to have a feel of it.
Besides these the cast give a strong perfomance ...

Advantages: Good story line Disadvantages: a bit confusing
The machines have discovered the last human city, Zion, located in the Earth's core, and an army of Squiddies is sent to destroy it. Neo (Keanu Reeves), the all-powerful One, must race to beat them there before launching a final battle that pits the last remaining unplugged humans against the machines. Along the way, with Morpheus (Laurence Fishburne) and Trinity (Carrie-Anne Moss) by his side, Neo battles Agent Smith (Hugo Weaving) and his clones, ... ...in a cliffhanger, setting up the trilogy's finale, The Matrix Revolutions.
Fans of 1999's The Matrix will be able to plug back in one day earlier than expected — Warner Bros. has moved the release date of the first sequel, The Matrix Reloaded, up by one day, to Thursday, May 15, 2003. Jeff Goldstein, Warner Bros.' executive vice president and general sales manager for domestic distribution, told Variety, "There's a pent-up demand for the movie, ...

Advantages: Great Characters and Effects Disadvantages: Too much information and excessive use of special effects.
...I did love Reloaded for the most part but there were just as many minus' as plus'.
The obvious place to begin is with the plus'. The main characters are back this time with some new comrades, as before, played perfectly by Keanu Reeves, Lawrence Fishburn and Carrie Ann Moss. The special effect are absolutely breathtaking aswell as the fight scenes, but there are too many of them.
The problem I think, is, The Matrix was acclaimed for its special ... ...overload of fight scenes. In the first film, all the stunts and fight scenes were done with the actor. In Reloaded, some scenes have replaced the actors with computer generated characters, and it shows.
The story has its problems too. The film is trying to put too much information to us mixed in with all the fight scenes.
Now, as I said, don't get me wrong. This film is great to watch, very entertaining. But, compared to the first, it's just not ...

...and it is different from the first film but obvously The Woachoski brothers had to show the city Zion which Morphous talks about in the film. They have actually shown the city in the film and The director had to put some characters in the film other wise it would have been too similar to the first film. They had to make the film more bigger and vast.
The fighting scenes and the special effects are absolutely amazing. As neo(Keanue Reeves) shows us ... ...the other main characters Trinity(Carrie Ann Moss) and Morphous(lauren Fishenberg) help him along the way. There is also a mind blowing Car chase where the agents are chasing Morphous and Trinity in which you see the cars flying off etc. Trinity also rides a motor bike which looks really good.Tjis scene has also been nominated for the best action scene in the MTV awards.

Advantages: undoubtedly a good film ,superb special effects Disadvantages: does it quite live up to expectation!?
After all the hype ,all the press coverage ,comes this ,The Matrix Reloaded .And reloaded it is ,only not quite as well on the mostpart.
First things first ,the storyline would be incomprehendable unless you`ve seen the first film! In The Matrix the concepts are laid down for this predecessor, the bizarre world that they live in is explained in the first and the concept of fate vs. free-will ,which is in my opinion an over mentioned theme anyway ... ...he basically knows he is the One. Half of the fun of the first was the anticipation ,the is he or isn`t he factor.Unfortunately now we know he is ,and so does he (the big head) and it shows! That aside ,the film does have a story line ,Keanu Reeves is basically saving the world that is left in the form of Zion from a bunch of machines that rule the rest of the world.Along the way, with Morpheus (Laurence Fishburne) and Trinity (Carrie-Anne Moss) ...

Advantages: More fight scenes Disadvantages: a little complicated
As a massive fan of the first Matrix film, natuarally i couldn't wait for the sequal. I wasn't dissapointed, right from the word off you could tell that it would be special. Of course watching it on a 30' screen helps, but i would be just as happy watching it on a 14" portable. The fact that Keanu Reeves (Neo) makes all the fight scenes look so effortless is amazing in its self. The story isn't that bad either, altough i do urge people to pay close ... ...film in the cinema you could see peoples faces dropping as they slowly but surely lost the plot. The best bit about this film is, like you would probably guess is the bullet time and the fight scenes with 360 degree camera work. However there are certain aspects of the film which are a bit cloudy; such as how did Neo figure out he could fly and what was he trying to do when he found out? There are also lots of mistakes has you may or may not have ...

Advantages: A chance to delve further down the rabbit hole? Disadvantages: bad acting, excessive CGI, no real depth to the story line
I was disappointed. The Matrix Re-loaded is nothing but an easy money maker for the brothers. Gone is the mystery of the characters, and the environment, the Zion Footage was nothing more than an excuse to extend the film. The Morpheous character is that of a Shakespearean Thespian now, and Neo is now superman and flies away at will.... and who cares about the relationship of the Matrix computer administrator and his girlfriend?....many of these ... ...of thought provoking enlightenment here. The original matrix had a mystery behind it with less intense acting, but a realization of a larger reality. What we are faced with here is badly worded dialog, and marvel comics reloaded, the final film promises to be a vast improvment, so let us just hope that this was an insignificant stepping stone into the real genius of the trilogy. ...

...& was not disapointed by the majority when i saw it. I was gripped to my seat all the way through. There were a few points when i did get lost with the story but that was due to one of the actors talking to fast for the information to be absorbed.

The only thing i regret is seeing it so soon. I'm saying this as i was very annoyed when a 'To Be Continued' flashed up on the screen even though i knew the 3rd film is going to be out in November. Advantages: Great acting and special effects Disadvantages: None
The main plot of The Matrix Reloaded is that Zion, the last place of Earths humanity is about to be wiped out by machines. But Neo, Trinity and Morpheous enter 'The Matrix' to try and prevent this from happening. They need to go in search of the Oracle to find out what Neo (The ONE) needs to do to stop the machines from taking over Zion. And Neo has to make the choise of Trinity or Zion. Remember Agent Smith from the first one? Well if you dont, ... ...up are you?) and in the second of the two films, he can copy himself by touching people, so now theres hundreds of him to battle Neo. There were the great special effects, there were brilliant fighting scenes like when Neo battled against hundreds of Smith's. Also there was a good car chase down the motorway. I liked this film alot because it had lots of hand to hand combat, and if you liked the first Matrix you'll love this one plus the added features ...

...classic blockbuster film such as The Matrix are often slow, boring and you just wish they had not bothered to make it and you had not paid £5 to go and see it. Prepare yourselves for a very pleasant surprise.
I do stress, you will only enjoy this film if you enjoyed The Matrix. I am tempted to say, if you enjoyed the first film, you're in for more of the same. In fact, you are not in for more of the same, you are in for so much more.
The special ... ...easy to follow. The soundtrack fits the action absolutely seamlessly. The old favourites are here, Morpheus, Trinity and of course Neo, with a few new additions. It all fits together so well. I don't want to give anything away as regards to storyline, plot or ending but I will wholeheartedly recommend that you see this film. Advantages: Visually stunning, but also thought provoking Disadvantages: There going to make us wait until November for the conclusion
...your brain for 90 minutes, The Matrix Reloaded is not one of those films. I have to say that the original "Matrix" is not one of my favourite films, I don't like it as much as I feel I should, the sequel however just blew me away.
The set pieces ( an there are enough here for two movies) are just breath-taking. The "Burly Brawl" and the "Freeway" scene are just staggering. You will want to duck as semis come hurtling towards you, thats if you don't ... ...there are all pertenent to the plot, develop the characters or just tell you interesting stuff. The concepts of belief, determinist, free-will and reality are all explored.
My husband and I found ourselves still talking about what went on in the film and what the remifications could be for the final movie long after the credits had rolled. Scant few films have that kind of a impact.
If you can stand to still through the credits (which look like ...

Advantages: Brilliant Special Effects; One scene Disadvantages: the plot is lost
If like me you loved the story of the first Matrix film, the clever way it made you think on aspects of the story as you left the cinema. This film will not be for you, but if all you got from the first film was that the special effects are amazing and all the fights were “really cool” then in no doubt this film will be you.
The matrix reloaded has probably the best special effects you’ll see in any film this year and contains more fight scenes ... ...alone lasts 17mins and cost the filmmakers $40m. But all the special effects and fight scenes take away from the plot of the film and it becomes very difficult to grasp what the Wachowski brothers wanted to say. You can see like the first film there is a story somewhere but you have to really concentrate to piece it together. The best scene of the entire film was the conversation between Neo and the Architect; at that point I thought the film was ...

Advantages: Excellent visual EFX and amazing sounds. Classy stuff Disadvantages: Could never improve on the story, only the action.
OK. The Matrix happened, everyone knows the story. Once the scene is set it is difficult to develop the story and the characters further. The main progression with this movie is the choreography in the fight sequences, and the special visual and sound effects.
I'm still buzzing after watching Matrix Reloaded. The fight sequences are so much better than in the original flick. Not just because there are more weapons or because there are more baddies. ... ...of the fights. The martial arts side of the film is taken much further, in more extreme situations. The sequences are so well choreographed with such appropriate special effects it makes you wonder just how much better fight scenes can get.
Even with these attributes, parts of the film do get a bit tedious. There isn't much build up to link the sequences together. Someone opens a door, and a fight starts. Someone gets in a car and a chase starts. ...
