To some people, the original Matrix was a masterpiece of original storytelling. The pinnacle of the art of movie making and special effects. The blah blah ... well, you get the picture. ...to tell you how good the film is regardless. Rarely does a film shown in UK cinemas get a rapturous round of applause to see it off – this one did. Was it worth me standing outside in the rain to get one of the few remaining tickets? I thought so. Two hours...in proper Welsh rain, complete with thunder, armed only with a brolley and a flimsy green anorak. The original Matrix was a brilliant film, state of the art bullet-dodging and new age martial arts that really impressed. Matrix Reloaded promised more of the same only better and with a typically humungous budget. What the hell is goin' on with The Matrix? That's what I been asking myself for the past month since I saw The Matrix: Reloaded. "Nobody can be told what the Matrix is, they have to see it for themselves."
