Advantages: Robert Patrick for about 3 seconds Disadvantages: Too many goofs & plotholes
There is nothing original about the film & the plot is pretty non-existent. Basically its a robbery that turns into a kidnapping that then devolves into a 1 man rescue job. Not much plot and almost no brain required to watch it, in fact the less brain used the less likely you are to spot all the various howling mistakes. We start with a jewellery heist that's an obvious inside job which is proved as soon as they get inside the diamond room. The fact ... ...would have been killed in the Gas Station explosion and steals a police car. He catches up with them far too quickly and there aren't enough 1-1 fights between Triton and the gang members. John Cena looks so much like Randy Orton in most of his close-ups that it may as well have been him in the film. I find it hard to believe a former Marine trained in all the things Triton lists in his cv has such a hard time trying to get a job. Basically this ...

Advantages: Absolutey laugh out loud hilarious - and it isn't even meant to be funny Disadvantages: Appaling plot, cast, everything really... but thats what makes it so brilliant
...I just had to!
The main actor is John Cena who is a WWE wrestler, the champion, or at least he has been a lot in the recent past I believe. The film is a WWE production too and frankly it doesn't take long to see that this is the case - especially since the opening credits say so...
But as for the film, well without giving away the plot. John is a marine, and just in case you weren't aware of this whilst watching the film, John makes sure to mention ... ...as a "marine". And the plot sort of 'evolves' from there.
Basically, me and my friends watched this movie because all the other movies for rent were rubbish too and we didn't regret watching this. We got some beers out and put this in the tv. Within minutes we were in hysterics.
It would appear the people behind this movie forgot to employ screenwriters - just as well really though, because they spent all the money on explosions instead. Casting ...

WWE the dominant wrestling business tries its hand at another film. Previously it had made films such as See No Evil and since The Condemned. Both featuring WWE superstars including Kane and Stone Cold Steve Austin. The Marine is no different as its main star is John Cena, who has been the top WWE superstar for the past two years.
The Marine was released on the 13th October 2006 and earned quick money.

They stop off a garage where at that the same time a Diamond Gang, led by Rome (Robert Patrick), also stop. An incident occurs at the station where Triton gets knocked out and shooting starts between a passing police car and the Gang. To escape the Gang steal Triton's ...
