Abit long winded for someone with an attention spam like me :) , but if you can pay attention good film, very close to the book, lots of edge of your seat moments. Its one of thoses films you can watch again and again and keep finding bits you missed, one too buy :)

Advantages: Wonderful story, breathtaking battle sequences, awesome effects (Gollum, Treebeard etc), superb direction
Disadvantages: Not faithful to the Book, some pointless scenes (Arwen)

After watching the film, all I could think of wasGolumn saying over and over again "it hurts us! it hurts us!". The film is not accurate to the book, and alot is missed out. Of course, some had to have been missed out, lasting over 2 hours and 51 minutes, people would lose interest alot easier if forced to watch for much longer. ...with was so far from the truth. But when I was out voted by my family at what to see at the cinema I went along to see the first film 'Fellowship of the ring' and as they had all read the books they knew what to expect but for me I was going in cold. Advantages: Visually stunning, good character development, close to feel of the book
Disadvantages: Not suitable for younger children, too long and too dark!

I eagerly awaited the release of this film, having been very impressed with "The Fellowship of the Ring", and I wasn't disappointed. From start to finish this film is a treat for the senses. The photography and special effects are stunning, the characters and becoming more deeply drawn and the story was as close to the book as is possible. Advantages: fantastic scenery and music. The story is a classic
Disadvantages: rather too long to sit without a visit to the bathroom - but the film is too good to miss any of it

The Two Towers is the second film in the Lord of the Rings trilogy. The story follows on from shortly after the first films ending. We follow the adventures of Frodo and Samwise Gamgee as they meet up with Gollum on their way to the Land lf Mordor. Advantages: Stylish and exciting movie for all the family
Disadvantages: not completely true to the book and a little to long

...can we say, anybody who read the books couldn't wait fo the film release of the "Lord of The Rings" after the terrible cartoon / real image version released in the eightys, this had to be the one! I took my family along to a warner village cinema in inverness and the first time we went the cinema was completly full.We have to retrun another time and purchase the tickets prior to the film time. Disadvantages: Left out some vital parts of the book so anybody who had not read it was left confused by some things

Having thoroughly enjoyed the first episcope of this trilogy I was eager to see the second. I was very confused by the rating of 12A it was given though, as I fail to see how having an adult with you would make this film any the less scary to a four or five year old and I had the mis-fortune to only be able to get a daytime ticket, so I was surrounded by crying children through out the film. I had never heard of the Lord of the Rings until the film came out. I had never read the books. I was very sceptical about it all. When I sat through the first film, I must say I was very impressed. Advantages: Great battle scenes
Disadvantages: Still just as long as the first!

The Two Towers was a great improvement on the first film, The Fellowship Of The Ring. Although I thought the first film was brilliant there was too much of nothing happening. Advantages: Good story, well-made film
Disadvantages: A few slow points, a bit too long

It's not as good as the first episode as there isn't so much happening and the characters are developing; but it does have it moments, particularly the end battle scene and Gollum's obsession with the ring. The ensemble cast is still superb, with stalwart performances from Andy Serkis as Gollum and Bernard Hill as King Theoden; whilst the special effects come up trumps again with Gollum, the giant trees and the rampaging Orcan army. This is the sequel to Fellowship of the Rings, which, as with the first, could be a bit shorter. I found this to be an enjoyable film, even though I was not keen on seeing it. However, once you have watched it, it does make sense to see the third instalment. This film draws you in and then spits you back out again feeling a bit bewildered.
