Advantages: Fantastic story, well made. Disadvantages: Having to wait for part 3!
...good it is!
------------------
When I saw the first movie it was OK but really was just a build up to this blockbuster. In the second film the story, effects, emotions and experiences all take over your body.
The story is fantastic, it carries on right where the first film left off, it answers questions about some characters, it closes parts of the story and then shocks you with another opening in the story of Middle Earth as characters develop.

Advantages: Some excellent action sequences, follows neatly from film (book!) one Disadvantages: Talking trees! I ask you!
...than its prequel due to the stunning epic that was Fellowship of the Ring, I couldn't help feeling a little let down after leaving the cinema.
Don't get me wrong, this is a great film - there is the constant brooding threat of war, some amazing action sequences and the CGI Gollum is worth the admission fee alone. The story is well paced and answers many of the questions posed in FOTR, while presenting us with many more to be answered in the concluding ...

Advantages: Fantastic visual effects and the movie stays very true to the book Disadvantages: Long film and may be a little hard to understand for some
Lord Of The Rings - The Two Towers is a fantastic film and actually outclasses its predocessor easily.
Director Peter Jackson has certainly come a long way since his earlier films Bad Taste and Braindead.
The film follows the book versions very closely indeed, the action scenes are fantastic and the story line equally as compelling.
Even if the viewer of this film hasnt seen the first i still recommend it, i myself watched 'The Two Towers' ...

Advantages: great watching Disadvantages: wating for the next episode
The Two Towers is an amazing masterpiece The digital effects that are created by Peter Jackson are breathtaking and a sight to behold. P. Jackson has taken the trilogy to new heights and has done a fantastic job bringing it to life. The cinematography was great and the costumes were spectacular, not to mention the set design which met all of. My expectations and then some.apart from the usual charictors such as frodo, sam.

Advantages: Brilliant effects, especially the battle scenes Disadvantages: Strays too far from Tolkien's book
I first read Lord of the Rings 11 years ago, and was enthralled by it. I was looking forward to these films from the moment i heard about them and, after watching The Fellowship of the Ring, expected great things from The Two Towers. I was not disappointed, and saw an excellent film in the cinema. What is an excellent film however, is also a terrible adaption of the book, differing in a large number of respects. Elves at Helm's Deep??? In the book ...

Advantages: enchanting cinematography, violence, passion, and edge of the seat action Disadvantages: do not see if you have a bladder problem. it is quite long.
If you have read the books you will find your imagination become real on the screen. Gollum is horrible yet endearing at times and the story continues to unfold true to Tolkein's vision. As from the first movie, the scenery is breathtakingly beautiful, as New Zealand is, and the characters continue to develop. Sam is Frodo's most noble friend, but we start to see Frodo's soft side, whereby he wants to accept the ugly Gollum. The fight scene is full-on, ...

BETTER THAN THE FIRST Review ofThe Lord Of The Rings - The Two Towers DVDby

Advantages: imaginative, interesting story line, great graphics Disadvantages: too long
Lord of the Rings: Two Towers is an excellent movie. The filmaker employs very imaginative cinematography technics. The quality of acting is impeccable and the progression of scenes is not in any way tiring or boring. Unlike the first movie, the sequel has touch of humour which does not go astray. Whilst the first movie sets the scene, in the second movie characters are developed. You cannot help but fall in love with the the triumvurate - the elf, ...

Advantages: If you have already watched the fellowship of the ring. Disadvantages: If you have not seen the fellowship of the ring or read the book
I first read the book " The Lord of the Rings" 25 years ago, since then I have bought the BBC narrated edition on cassette form. I have seen the cartoon version of " The Lord of the Rings" and was excited when the movie industry decided to make the trilogy for the "Big screen".
Having seen the first part " The fellowship of the ring" I was looking forward to see the second part "The Two Towers", this turned out to be fantastic, fantasy at it's best. ...

Advantages: Fantastic use of graphics anf effects! Disadvantages: quite deep, not an easy watch!
After watching the first Lord of the rings over and over on DVD I couldnt wait to watch the second!
The whole film is packed with fantastic graphics and special effects! like walking trees! and the battle seens were out of this world, with you actually feeling that what your watching is real!
The only thing I would say about this film is that if your wanting an easy watch, this probably isnt the best film ,as it is a deep! film.. but well worth ...

Advantages: A great film Disadvantages: A tad too long
I watched the first film and was completely gobsmacked by the effects and the detail that had gone into making it. So I was really looking forward to the second "The Two Towers".
Well, I wasn't disappointed. The film carries on from the exact spot where the first ended, so you have to try and remember what happened. But soon, you're back in the swing of things and completely drawn into the story. The director must have lived and breathed this film ...

...to wait so long for the continuation of the first film, and also having to wait for the conclusion.
The characters of this sequel were very much the same as the first although the addition of Gollum's character added some light relief from the stories dramatic and sometimes violent storyline. The film showed another side of Frodo that wasn't touched on in the first especially after the ring started to take control. This really improved the tempo ...

Advantages: brings part one more to life Disadvantages: i found this second part a little slow to begin with
...that this second part of the trilogy was alittle slow to start with, but with a little patience began to pick up where part one had finished. The effects were magnificent, even magical, and i could imagine myself there with the characters. The musical scores were very much in line with what was going on ,on screen. We enjoyed it very much, and are looking forward to the third part of this amazing adventure. ...is a real winner. The moment the film starts its action all the way. It carries straight on from where Fellowship of the ring ended. The effects are stunning and you get a real feel of the vast size of some of the creatures and landscapes. The story is constantly changing from each group of charecters, so there is never a dull moment throughout the entire film. There are a lot of new charecters introduced to the story, some good, some bad. However ...
