Completelly digitally remastered, this version is even better than the original VHS of the Little Mermaid. A timeless classic based on the Hans Christian Andersen fairytale. Triton's rebellious teenage daughter dreams of being a human - by any means possible. The combination of wonderful animation, a brilliant story and award-winning music makes The Little Mermaid a timeless Disney Classic.

The Little Mermaid is a wondeful story and is fantastic in how it relates to everybody. As a small child I watched it over and over again wishing that I could be Ariel, The Little Mermaid. As I have grown older I have realised that it covers the rebelliousness of the teen years, the romances of early adulthood and the angst of parents as their daughters disobey those rules in place to protect them. Disney's undersea classic is full of colourful characters and fantastic music. Its all time classic to be enjoyed by any member of the family time and time again.

Disadvantages: Disney price their DVD so high, it's a wonder anyone with children has any money left

I have always loved the fairy tale story of 'The Little Mermaid' and though Disney undoubtedly and unchangingly decide to make the endings of all their films more 'socially acceptable' I still found this film charming and captivating enough to give me shivers when i hear the main theme. The little mermaid is one of the best disney films ever made, the second film was just as successful, the newer film which was released on the 26th August, which i have not yet watched but have seen the trailers and it seems very good. The original film (the first one) was great to watch and was definatly my favourite, but that may be changed by the 3rd film which i am just about to watch! The songs are really good and fantastic to watch.The little mermaid dosnt seem to get boring however many times you watch it because you seem to hear or see somehting new every time!!
