The wonderful thing about Disney is that I grew up watching it, listening to the soundtracks and pretending to be the character. I have always loved the fairy tale story of 'The Little Mermaid' and though Disney undoubtedly and unchangingly decide to make the endings of all their films more 'socially acceptable' I still found this film charming and captivating enough to give me shivers when i hear the main theme. The songs, even the 'funny' ones, have amazingly intricate and meaningful lyrics that must be listened to properly to understand the creativity that went into them - 'Under The Sea' is a good example of this.
