Advantages: great storylines, great characters, so funny Disadvantages: some people may find the humour offensive
About The Inbetweeners The Inbetweeners follows the lives of four teenage boys and their journey through growing up. There are four main characters that appear throughout the series, Simon Bird who plays William McKenzie, Joe Thomas who plays Simon Cooper, James Buckley who plays Jay Cartwright and Blake Harrison who plays Neil Sutherland. Basically Will is a posh young lad who has been forced to attend public school when his parents divorce. Will ... ...to work his way into the group with the other lads mentioned above. The programme is partly narrated by Will's character which I find works really well and adds an even bigger touch of humour to the already funny plots. There are so many moments throughout the series which makes me think back to when I was at school and all the things you have to go through such as trying to get your first girlfriend/boyfriend, trying to get served, aged 17 and the ...

Advantages: Great performances and realistic dialogue Disadvantages: A bit gross at times!
WHAT IS IT: The Inbetweeners is a sitcom featuring four young men in Sixth Form at the fictional Rudge Park Comprehensive. It charts their trials and tribulations as they face the difficulties of adolescence such as desperately trying to get with girls, drinking too much and trying not to make complete fools of themselves. Throughout the two series they are under the watchful eye of the imposing Mr Gilbert, head of Sixth Form. NEIL: The slow one ... ...and is often the butt of everyone's jokes; particularly when he turns up at the school disco in an outfit even John Travolta would have rejected for Saturday Night Fever. He is played (brilliantly) by Blake Harrison who perfectly captures 'that idiot from school' without pushing it too far. JAY: Jay really fancies himself as a ladies man and is constantly boasting about his sexual exploits. No-one believes him of course but he carries on undeterred. ...

Advantages: All of it is great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Disadvantages: Could do with more deleted scenes, but who really cares about extras!
...me just start by saying The Inbetweeners is a brilliant series and anyone who compares it to skins hasn't go a clue what they are talking about for these reasons;
The Inbetweeners = Brilliant
Skins = Crap
The Inbetweeners = Funny
Skins = Em?? Crap!!
The Inbetweeners = Good, solid and funny storylines.
Skins = Crap nonsensical storylines.
The Inbetweener = Great character, almost like the ones you remember from school
Skin = 2D characters, ... ...system. Now back to the matter at hand, the brilliant Inbetweeners. Main theme - Well it's all about the main character will, whose mother can't afford his private school fees anymore so he is sent to a comprehensive school. Not being the coolest of character he associates himself with the best group he can;
Simon - He is obsessed with a girl called Carley and is properly Will best friend of the group, this is because he's a bit more sensitive than ...

...without a doubt one of the funniest programmes I have ever watched in my life, saw a clip off it on E4 and nearly wet myself and after a bit off a nudge the wife bought me it for christmas even though she thought it was a bit of a stupid lads programme but we will come to that later. Advantages: Great Comedy Disadvantages: Only 1 series SO FAR
Introduction : The Inbetweeners is a great comedy aired on the channel E4. This hilarious sitcom is the first comedy to be featured on E4 and is one of my most favourite programms on TV and DVD right now. The DVD is to be bought by anyone over the age of 18 due to it's heavy load of strong language and adult themes. The program is about a young school student at the age of 16 going up to 17. His name is Will , who then finds 3 new friends Neil,Jay ... ...has had many girls in the past down at his caravan in Camber Sands caravan club. Neil is too stupid to have a relationship and does not know how to start one off. Simon is obsessed with a beutiful young girl called Carly D'Amato , when he tries to get Carly to go on a date , he ends up making it worse. The program follows these young teenage boys through there days to find some fit girls. Advantages : There are many advantages of this great product. ...

...hind-sight, but no so with the Inbetweeners.
The show is all about a group of A Level students in an inner city school. They are your typical lads, interested in nothing but sex and alcohol, and the comedy revolves around the different mix-ups they get into in pursuit of these goals.
The characters are a real mix, and that makes it so funny. The narrator of the show is the posh boy nerd, Will, who has come down to earth with a bang when he couldn't ... ...can relate to about ‘being the new kid in school’, which is not the case with season 2.
The dialogue from Jay is as rude as it gets on prime-time TV, as he is ever on the hunt for 'clunge', so this is not one for the easily offended. This has seen the DVD certified an 18, despite there being no sex, nudity or violence.
The acting is simple, and the characters pretty one dimensional, but it's funny enough to forget all that.
Over-all, it's a risk ...

Advantages: Ironic, fast and witty writing...love it! Disadvantages: It is on so late so some of your friends may miss it!
Can you remember the heady days of being in Sixth form? Everyone taking driving lessons determined to be the first one to get the new car (most likely something small and cheap to run that your dad would choose) and then there was the discovery of girls....this series which originally screened on E4 focusses on the lives, times and troubles of four friends. Each one of them is to be honest...a bit of a loser and together, they make a fabulous foursome. ... ...it also shows with humour, the way that friends can bond together to get through the trials and tribulations of their lives. There are some amazing characters in this series. The Deputy Headteacher of the school is EVIL and will no doubt remind you of the teacher that everyone was scared of from your own school days. Simon Bird, who has moved from a private school and has to adapt to life in the state system is just great at put downs...and he has ...

Advantages: You will be killing yourself with laughter, guaranteed. Disadvantages: If you're into spy thrillers on a Saturday night and not gentle and subtle comedy, it's not for yo
The Inbetweeners gives a brutally real but hilarious insight into the school lives of 4 boys - Will, the 'know-all' ex-public school boy who finds himself surrounded by people he has never encountered before and who possesses very witty comebacks, Simon - the boy who freezes up every time he encounters his love Carly (and who gels his hair FAR too much), Jay - the boy who lies about almost everything and who mostly only ever talks about sex, and ... ...which exploits humour related to the misfits in school. Will, Jay, Simon and Neill, in the first series, begin the long climb up the slippery rungs of their school's social ladder, and in the hard journey find themselves awkwardly trying to tug a frisbee off a wheelchaired girl, failing to get with the girls in a caravan outing hosted by Jay and his flatulent father and finding themselves without a car door in Thorpe Park Although these episodes ...

Advantages: Great cast and script, very realistic. Disadvantages: n/a
The Inbetweeners is an excellently written British comedy which, to date, has had one series which was broadcast on E4 and Channel 4 in 2008. It has been recently announced that a second series will be filmed and broadcast in 2009. The show focuses on a group of four teenagers dealing with life at a secondary school's sixth form: Will McKenzie (played by Simon Bird), Simon Cooper (Joe Thomas), Jay Carthwright (James Buckley) and Neil Sutherland (Blake ... ...to be a nerd (hence the name of the show). This is a more realistic view of teenage life than other series that seem to be more popular (Skins) and I'm sure most of us have been in or seen some of the events that occur during the series take place. For example, Simon manages to get himself invited into Carli's (a girl he fancies) house and he manages to throw up over her little brother (I actually burst out laughing at this). I found this whole series ...

Advantages: Extremely funny if you like it Disadvantages: Very rude and offensive
The Inbetweeners is a low budget comedy created for the 18-25 age group, however I do know people older than this who really enjoy it. It can be extremely rude and offensive and it's cringe-worthy factor is off the scale. However if you can stomache a bit of rudeness then you should enjoy this comedy series very much. The story line consists of 4 main characters who become friends when, Will joins the school. Will comes across as slightly posh and ... ...who is the cute one and probably the most sane one of the bunch.
You also have Jay who likes to make up the most outrageous stories mostly involving himself having sex and you also have Neil who is slightly less than intelligent. The characters compliment each other and play their parts well.
You will enjoy this product if you enjoy shows South Park, Family Guy and movies like American Pie. ...

...just as brilliant. IT has the same basic theme ... teenage disaters but the characters are slightly less cool which gives rise to even more laughs.
The main character , will , has just moved from a posh private school to the local high school, as his parents have divorced. The first episode sees his hysterical attempts to make friends. He manages this ...just and although their not the cool kids thier better than the geeks. Following episode see ... ...and stoy out of the way of the school bully. There is both obvious and dry humour and anyone under 30 will watch this and remember similar events from there own school days. In my opinion The Inbetweeners Series One is hugely funny, great comedy for friends to watch together, i would recommend this to anybody wanting a laugh, it is simply supurb and does not fail to satisfy! gobsmackingly hilarious!
