I think one of the worst film for goriness I've seen has to be Hostel but I decided it had been a while since seeing a horror and The Hills Have Eyes was always one I'd wanted to see and heard good reviews about. Apart from the minor scare and the guy killing the 2 scientists at the start this is really boring for a very VERY long time. The travellers dog gets killed (we see nothing apart from it's body) and then not much happens. ...don't think i could describe the way in which a pick axe wielding monster attacks three men in a bloodthirsty assult. Not since Saving Private Ryan have i seen such graphic gore. There was even a disturbing sequence being played while the credits were rolling, which although disturbing, tie in nicely with the film when reflected on at the end. ...so you are stranded..... Well, The fillm started off okay in my opinion it was very predictable though. i'd even began to enjoy it untill you actually saw those horrible things living in the hills! What a huge libedo ruiner! On the funny side they did look pretty humourous untill you saw what they were capable of! When one of them with the creepy face and snorting was trying to rape that poor young girl, and also the bit that definately turned ...

Well the film inevitably starts with a clean-cut average family on a caravan trip. They are heading for the coast and the owner of the gas station they stop at gets wind of this. He then rather helpfully tells them to take a cross country road which they inevitably do take. Death and destruction rage thereafter! They take the fatal detour, and find themselves the prey of frustrated mutants who have resulted from nuclear tests and experiments carried ...
...to quench their thirst. The film is set in a vast, seemingly lifeless desert with numerous craggy peaks jutting up from the earth's surface. In amongst these peaks the mutants keep their watch. Hoping that some idiotic person will dare try to pass through their polluted land. On this day, their luck is in. A whole family just waiting to be torn to shreds to provide a tasty meal for the curious hill-billies. It isn't too difficult to guess what happens ...
