...it or even buy it. The green mile is a film about a guard (tom hanks) that is working on death row. He basically belives that one of the inmates who was found with two little girls. Who had been murdered is innocent. It is a quite a sad film as it gives you a soar throat and a runny nose. I definetly reccomend this to anybody who has not already seen it. ...going to be one of the great filmmakers of modern times. Never before in a movie have I seen such rich, detailed characters which make you love them or hate them, in Percy's case! He is our villain of sorts, a truly evil, nasty prison warder. I have never hated a character so much in my life! This Is The best film I have ever seen! It gets straight into the story and there isn't a dull moment in it! Tom Hanks (Paul Edgecomb) and Michael Clarke Duncan (John Coffey) are absalutly fantastic! The film is about Paul's Journey as a prison guard on 'The Mile' (Death row). Doing the job he does he meets many, many criminals and he never usually doubts whether or not they did the crime, until one day he meets John Coffey and everything changes. ...

This movie was amazingly good, the book went into more detail, but if you dont read much or havent read it, the movie gives a great look into that time period. This is one of the best films I have seen for ages. Yes it does go on for approximately 3 hours but it is well worth it. I rate this very highly.
