...fan, I have always loved the Fresh Prince of Bel Air sitcoms, with the wise-crack jokes, the lanky dances and Will Smith’s incomparable tongue-in-the cheek acting. Just reviewing this 1990 classic is bringing fond memories back to me, and like I am sure it is for many other viewers, the first season remains undoubtedly the best in the series. I was overjoyed when I finally managed to purchase a DVD copy of the First Season, and I must say that Will ... ...an actor. The opening credits are actually a short clip with funky a rap-style song sung by Will Smith himself where he explains how he was sent by his mother to live in a very high-class, very posh corner of Bel-Air with his Uncle Phil and his family. ...Season one takes it all the way back to 1994, and it’s hilarious to see the fresh-faced cast (even Uncle Phil looks young). For a tenner, it’s a steal!
WHAT IS IT ABOUT: An American sitcom, The Fresh Prince of Bel Air stars a young Will Smith as a street wise Philadelphia lad who goes to live with his posh relatives in Bel Air. The show is a comedy that draws much of its fun from the way Will clashes with the Banks family's way of life, particularly ... ...still watched by teens around the country, who get as much enjoyment out of it now that I did ten years ago.
