Advantages: Hillarious Disadvantages: You'll be lining Disney's pockets
...I have made up for the purposes of this review. So far I have Disney in last place, competing heavily with my workplace. The other places are yet to be filled. Suggestions on a postcard please.
As much as I dislike them for various reasons (most of them relating to the time I spent working for them) they do occasionally churn out a film under their name that is not what you would expect from a woman hating weirdo with a frozen head and a bad moustache.
... ...total of one song in the film so don't be expecting to be singing anything catchy for the next five years. The animation is rather funky too. It's not one of the fully computer animated offerings that Disney are now swaying towards with every animated film they are doing. The animation in this film is a great contrast of very bright and very dark, depending on the characters and the situations and it makes for some viewing. It sometimes reminds me ...

...Disney films, they are, on the whole, so incredibly watchable, with things to appeal be you 2 or 20, 8 or 80, and everything in between. I find them clever, but not in a frustrating way that means I can't enjoy them at face value. This review is of the Disney film The Emperor's New Groove, what I believe to be the best Disney since Toy Story 2. ...It conjures up images of the classic story of the Emperor’s New Clothes but the film bears no relation in terms of story or even theme. Presumably, the Mighty Mouse’s marketing machine thought it was “funky” and chose it as being representative of the style of the film.
Originally, it appears, this was supposed to be more of a traditional film complete with songs by Sting, but the final version has dispensed with all these, ... ...thing. I certainly didn’t miss the songs, which I usually find the most tedious part of a Disney movie, but I have to admit that classic songs like “The Bare Necessities” and “Cruella De Vil” can really add to the movie if they’re done well. Maybe the DVD release will spread a little more light on their exclusion and allow us to make up our own minds.
The plot is straightforward – the Emperor, Kuzco, (voiced ...

The Emporer’s New Groove is the latest feature length cartoon offering from Disney. Having kids aged nine and eleven and still considering myself to be not much more (at heart), it is almost compulsory to see anything new from the Disney stable, personally I’m a great fan of most of their stuff old and new.
The storyline briefly is that of a young arrogant Emporer of no fixed country from no fixed point in history, except to say one can assume an ... ...enriching his own life at the same people’s expense - this I guess is his groove.
His downfall occurs when he treads on his advisor a bit too strongly and sacks her, she vows revenge, and being a bit handy with the old potions turns him in to a llama. The rest of the story is about his struggle to survive his new life and regain his previous form with inevitable clashes with she who opposed him in the first place.
It’s a good yarn and moves at ...

Disney fans around the world will be happy with this latest Disney movie to hit the VHS. Full of typical Disney animation and humor, this movie pleases both adults and children.
The main plot
-------------
The emperor Kuzco (voice by David Spade) is just about to turn 18, for his birthday he has decided to build a swimming pool. The only problem is that he wants to build his Kuzcopia on Pacha's (voice by John Goodman) village. The village just ... ...perfect for the pool.
An evil diva (voice by Eartha Kit) is intent on ruling the kingdom, and her attempt to kill the emperor fails somewhat by turning him into a llama.
The movie depicts the tale of Kuzco and Pacha's attempt to retain the throne. Initially, Kuzco is selfish and couldn't care about Pacha's plight, but as the bond between them forms and grows he begins to see that it is cool to be nice.
We follow the two through many adventures ...

The Emperor's New Groove is one of my favourite films to watch when I'm in the mood for a feel good, easy to watch film. This film is made by Disney and was released in 2001 in the UK Story ------- Kuzco is a young self centred emperor ruling his empire selfishly with nobodies well being in mind, except his own. On the eve of his 18th birthday, after firing his advisor Ezma, who continually tries to run the empire behind his back, he meets Pacha ... ...whose family live on the top of a beautiful hill in a valley. Kuzco wants to build "Kuzotopia" his lavish pool house complex, on the very spot Pacha's family have lived for the last 6 generations, as a birthday present to himself. Not thinking or caring about the implications it would have on the surrounding villagers or Pacha and his family. Pacha leaves the palace after being told the plans are going ahead regardless of his objections. Meanwhile, ...

Rumour has it that Disney were keen to shake their "little kid" image and create something which would appeal to adults and teens as well. Well they've succeeded admirably! ...

Introduction
Over the years Disney have produced some great animated movies ranging from fairy tales to action adventure movies. Their success is unparalleled as many of their movies move from the big screen to Broadway. However, with the advent of computer graphics, many companies are beginning to compete against Disney. Yes….I am back on the cartoons again!
The Emperors New Groove, was released in 2000, and seems to have flopped at the box office, in comparison to other Disney titles, taking a mere $80,000,000(!). I can only imagine that the reason that this film "flopped" was down to poor marketing, or the fact that the kids want to see films a la CGI, like Toy Story (1995) or Shrek (2001), anyway, enough of the criticism, let's get onto why you should watch this ... ...so the main guy is Kuzco, he is a young Emperor of a fictional Aztec city. The Specs and Movie bio:
-------------------------------
The Emperors New Groove is a 'WaltDisney Classic' that was made and released in 2001. In some writers warped mind i guess it must have something to do with the old Emperors New CLothes story but to be honest i dont see a connection worth mentioning. The name was a bad choice on Disneys part. But that doesnt detract from the movie's outstanding quality itself.
Back cover write up:

...see a Disney film on the big screen for ages, however I did manage to get to see the preview of their latest offering last night.
Basic plot is simple. We have a very young Emperor named Kuzco who like most Emperors in movies is completely arrogant and cares only about himself, what he wants, what he gets and how he gets it, and this Emperor has his very own personal advisor the very wicked looking Yzma.
Like any decent employer Kuzco decides to ... ...about time the Emperor was taken from his thrown preferably by death!
Yzma and her sidekick Kronk try their hardest to kill the Emperor in the normal magical way and that is by poisoning him using a potion, however it all goes wrong and he ends up being turned into a Llama due to Kronk being such a dope.
Kronk is ordered to kill him in any way possible and he fails at that miserably and loses the Emperor.
The Emperor left looking like a Llama ...
