the film was okay. the special effects for the disasters werefantastic, like the tornados in LA. i did think that the story line was very poor. i didnt really care about some teen in love, i was interested in seeing what global warming will do to the world, like cover england in snow. i also thought the bit about people from developed countries having to go to third world countries was ironic, becasue they came to us for aid and we made them stay ...
...and go begging to the country's leader to ask if we can go there. i think the film could have been made a lot better if the story line was different, there was nothing wrong with the effects of what happened i just think it could have ended better and had more to do with disasters than to flick between disaster and teen romance. overall it was still quite good ...

...read some negative reviews about the apparent 'poor storyline' I was convinced the film was not going to live up to the hype. However, The action comes thick and fast right from the start and you find yourself having to physically close your mouth with your hand several times during the film. With awe-inspiring special effects it fulfills all expectations and if, like myself, you are more interested in talent spotting you will find that Jake Gyllenhall ...

This is the best film I've seen in a long while. Its one of those natural disaster films but its different to all the rest. No-ones every thought of using global warming and tidal waves etc. Its sooo fab! The main characters are really good actors. The special effects are sooo cool! ...thought it was boring . The special effects were stunning ,the storyline was great and easy to follow. Stunning performances from Dennis Quaid and the main actors . Although there were some serious issues addressed in the film there were a few funny lines thrown in . This film started excellently. The special effects were truly amazing and I felt gripped and excited as the film went on. I found I was jumping and squirming in my seat without realising it! The wolf scenes were a little disappointing as it was obvious that the wolves were computer enhanced and the story was very far-fetched, although I do realise that it was a film for entertainment and not factual.
