...was so unhinged and played the character so well, Christian Bale played Batman really well too especially with his enhanced deep voice, this was a really dark film and had me on the edge of my seat throughout the whole film! There were some periods during this film when I was bored and there were others when I was excited; but at the end the overall impression was that the director Christopher Nolan had got a bit carried away. There are at least two films worth of story here. And the plot is very confusing in parts. This is definitely not the best superhero movie of all time as so many critics would have us believe. In fact it is not even the best Batman movie (Batman Begins is). Heath Ledger is amazing but no one else in the cast manages to keep up. The film goes on and on and on, and there is an unsubtle, unsuitable analogy between Batman's battle with the Joker and America's "war on terror" and everyone involved is trying desperately hard, but in the end the only thing epic about it is the running time. ...

...to tell you thought that the things i had heard about this film, didnt seem to do it justice. In my opinion it is one of the best batman films evermade, and i really enjoyed watching it. Heath Ledger's performance as the Joker is, in my opinion legendary (even tho he is only slightly recognisabel underneath all the make up).
