Once again The Dark Knight of Gotham is on the Streets, fighting the Joker, the most ferocious and most psychopat criminal mankind has ever seen. Once again, Gotham's superhero is facing a battle within his heart, a battle for his loved one, Rachel, which eventually will bring him to a confontation with Rachel's new boyfriend, Harvey Dent, the new DA, fighting criminal gangs tougher than ever, and to a mutual friendship.
Normally, sequels are "weaker" ... ...the rule. In my opinion, this is one movie worth loosing Your time just to watch, be it on the couch, on a laptop or wherever You are. It has everything a movie-lover would want.
Christian Bale has done a tremendous job as the Caped Crusader, who has a flawed personality hanging on the balance between righteous and crazy. His perception of justice causes an emotional and personal shift, whether he is a rich guy who fights crime in a suit or just ...

...lap it up and ignore the fact that inside, we've been let down. The Dark Knight is not one of those films. Sure it was hyped up beyond belief for months before its release, and due to the tragic and untimely death of the late Heath Ledger, all eyes were upon Christopher Nolan's latest installment in this redesigned Batman era. But no doubt about it, this film lives up to its expectations, It really is, however, Heath Ledger that steals the show. ... ...he was to play the joker, i couldnt imagine it, but then who can you imagine playing the joker, until they have done it?! His mesmerizing and intense portrayal of the Joker puts the great Jack Nicholson to shame and is sadly an insight into the great things he would of achieved had we not been robbed of him even before the release of the film. I find it sad that people over-look this outstanding performance and regard his death as the main reason ...

Who'd have thought a man dressed up as a bat would be so ... ...that it lives up to the hype.
Having now seen the movie I must say I am a little bit disappointed. Yes, it is a great film. Yes, Heath Ledgers performance is superb. No, it's not the greatest film ever made (see imdb.com top 250).
I was looking forward to this film on the strength of Batman Begins and also being a Christian Bale fan. Having read reviews, I couldn't wait to see it. The film doesn't stop for breath from beginning to end. It's two ...

Advantages: Excellent performances, chiefly from Ledger. Disadvantages: Final third could have been a film in its own right.
With the passing of Heath Ledger in January of this year, there was always going to be an unusual kind of interest in this film, the sequel to 2005´s Batman Begins. As much as audiences are keen to see if director Christopher Nolan´s follow-up is as strong and hard-hitting as its predecessor, there´s also the inevitable semi-morbid curiousity that comes in seeing a well-known actor´s last role, especially so soon after his death.
I´ve never been ... ...Here, though, he excels. While the film is good, Ledger is great - if an actor could choose a level of performance to go out on, this would be it.
At the end of Batman Begins, Lieutenant Gordon (reappearing in this film, Gary Oldman) alludes to a villain at large in Gotham City whom Batman (Christian Bale) promises to track down. This villain, Ledger´s Joker, is Batman´s principal nemesis in Dark Knight, reprising the conflict last shown nearly ...

Advantages: Interesting plot, great actors, it's Batman! Disadvantages: Too short (Yes, I do realise it runs 152 minutes. It's just that good)
...from this film, I liked the prequel, but I didn't think director Nolan could do it again. But boy was I ever wrong.
I entered the cinema, expecting to be entertained, and nothing more. I was completely blown away. This is one of the best movies ever, period.
You're sitting at the edge of your seat from the very first scene, and the movie doesn't lose it's grip at any time (it's a rather long movie, more than 2 hours.)
As you probably already know, ... ...an amazing piece of acting. The are no words to describe Heath's acting in this film. The Joker has moved away from the cheery psychopath we all know, and is now a dark, ruthless criminal mastermind, while still being the same old schizophrenic clown. It's a shame he's dead, I would have loved to see him in the sequel.
Christian Bale does an awesome job acting again. He has hit the nail on the head with his version of Batman as the lonely, dark ...

*****Plot*****
The Joker is back and he's causing havock in Gotham City. Of course it's down to Batman to put a stop to him and the mob yet again. He has some help from some Gotham detectives, but nobody really knows who they can trust.
*****Opinion*****
As I said above, I had heard a lot of good things about 'The Dark Knight', so it had a lot to live up to. And it did live up to my expectations, although in my opinion Transformers was better. ... ...makes this Batman different from the others.
There was also a lot made about Heath Legers role as The Joker, I was pretty sure this was just because of the circumstances, but it turns out he plays the role exeptionally well. The Joker has a big part to play in making this movie what it is - brilliant. Whether the role would have been played as well by anyone else is anyones guess. However this was a 10 out of 10 performance.
The rest of the cast ...

...to love it for all the right reasons, but then I found my thoughts being hijacked by the death of Heath Ledger. Suddenly, my reasons for going to see changed from pure movie going to let's see how Heath Ledger does.....
You know what, the biggest compliment I can say is that even though I knew it was Heath, I didn't while I was watching the film it was that good....it reminded you of how De Niro was in his classics like 'Raging Bull' and 'Taxi Driver.' ... ...the length of the film.
What I also love about this film is that Batman is the main character...sounds crazy, why wouldn't he be, haven't you seen the title it says 'Baat-maan.' Bear with me, what is remembered from the orignal Tim Burton adapation, Michael Keaton or jack Nicholsons 'Joker. This is all about Batman and his struggle with his demons and the character of the Joker is there to show what Batman would be if he let the demons take control.

The show is stolen by the late Heath Ledger, who plays the role of the Joker, Batman's evil nemesis. Ledger portrays a darker, more sinister, Joker than Jack Nicholson, who played the same role in the earlier version of the film. ...extremely sceptical about watching Batman The Dark Night. I had never seen any of the previous Batman films & thought this was going to be the same type of plot that the whole Superhero genre follows... dull, boring & lacklustre. My boyfriend dragged me along to see this at the cinema & I sat down with my popcorn just patiently waiting to fall asleep within 10 minutes. This film lasts approximately 145 minutes which strangely was one of my reasons ... ...in this film it was the only reason I had!
I had heard really great things about this film like it was the best film of the year & if Heath Ledger doesn't win an Oscar for his performance as the Joker it would be a disgrace but being the pessimist that I am I didn't believe any of it & ultimately decided that I knew best & before even seeing the film decided it was going to be awful & pretty much mentally shut down as soon as I got into the cinema!

Advantages: clever plot; outstanding performances. Disadvantages: long film; hard to follow.
The Dark Knight is the new Batman film for those of you who do not know. Picking up from the last film, with batman in a furious hero type mind; striving to good yet constantly seeking revenge. It is quite dark and is justifiably certified a 12. In Places it is quite hard to understand and can become a bit too mysterious, however if feel the film was not tied up well. THE PLOT
The plot is quite dark and meaningful, however the performances of the ... ...Ledger's performance as one of the most menacing villains in the Batman. Heath Ledger paints a disturbing and intriguing picture of villain mad and crazed. It is a pity he died; as I feel his was one of the best villains yet. I feel the film was a bit hard to understand and left quite an empty ending - particularly with the villain as Heath Ledger has died I do not know what they are going to do with out his outstanding performance and if the Joker ...

...CONTAINS SPOILERS!
OK, ignore the so called "great opening scene" of the bank robbery. It's good but its nothing to be spouting the word "brilliant" over. The 2nd scene with fake batmen is better (along with a throwaway appearance of The Scarecrow which is a complete waste of time as it's not explained or ulitised at all really) but you don't know who the real Batman is, especially when he's talking like he's got a really sore throat or is doing ... ...dialogue with Chief Gordon in the 3rd scene in the bank vault & in the rest of the movie in fact. Call me old fashioned but I like to be able to HEAR clearly what the lead character in a movie has to say.
The movie looks OK, its suitably dark in places. The plot is average at best with The Joker robbing mob banks to get their attention so he can offer to kill Batman for half their money. Heath Ledger's performance as The Joker is unimpressive as ...

...give my review. I think The Dark Knight was probably the most talked about movie of last year & was a must see. Unusually the hype with this film was justified because this is the best film I have seen for a very long time! The plot is like all the other batman films, bad ... ...film & well deserves all the awards he will probably win for this role, I have never been creeped out by a character so much before. The action sequences are long and complex & are amazing to watch. Im glad I saw this film in the cinema, I think seeing it on a big screen made it even more impressive. I was absolutely blown away by this movie and I really hope the follow up will be as good (although I think that may be hard to do). As soon as this ...

...this is. Saw at the cinema and had to buy the DVD. I love Christian Bale playing Batman/Bruce Wayne I think he does it with such ease and believability. The partnership of Bale and Caine (Michael Caine plays Alfred, trusted butler) works wonderfully. Although he was ... ...funniest parts of the film for me was when The Joker was indisguise as a nurse! laugh out loud stuff. The Dark Knight is (if you don't mind me saying) a bit of a dark film, its not child friendly and as more sinister undertones than previous Batman movies. It's definitely one the 'grown ups'. The action gets going straight away starting with robbers, kitted out with clown masks, robbing the mob bank and getting away with all their cash. From here ...

Advantages: Acting, Special Effects, Story Disadvantages: Little too long in my opinion
Firstly, let me say that The Dark Knight is a brilliant film. I can't really criticize any aspects of it, other than the length. It lasts for well over 2 hours, which can be too much for some people. ...When I saw it at the cinema I was literally at the edge of my seat. The stunts were absolutely fantastic and you really don't expect the various twists throughout the film.
