Advantages: great serial drama Disadvantages: none
...started to watch some of the second series, but as I like to know what's what and who's who in these shows, I decided to stop watching Series 2 on tv, wait for it to come out on dvd and buy both Series 1 and 2 on dvd.
I have just finished watching Series 1 on dvd and I can highly recommend it. The show is a great drama, it has romance, comedy, drama and everything all rolled into one. The show is written by Kay Mellor who has written many fantastic ... ...The cast reads like a who's who of tv stars and includes:
Keith Barron - plays George Williams
Gaynor Faye - plays his daughter Anna
Nicola Stephenson - plays his daughter Sarah
Michelle Holmes - plays his second wife Claudie
Janet Dibley - plays Rick\'s wife
Reece Dinsdale - plays Rick
Sunetra Sarker - plays Claire
Rachael Davies - plays Margaret
Heather Pearce - plays Fiona

Advantages: cool Disadvantages: not the best of its genre
...it is a shame that the younger kids today have probably never heard of him as he hasn’t made anything for a while. He starred in the spoof classics Hotshots and Hotshots part deux. He was also Dick in Young guns with Emilio Estevesz , but his most famous role has to be as the young rookie soldier in Platoon. Living in the shadow of your famous father cant help either, and Charlie Sheen has now become a bit of a black sheep.
He stars in ‘The ... ...car chase that lasts for the whole movie. The film has a strong and entertaining line of comedy running through it, which is funny without interfering with the plot. The film has many stock characters from other comedies like the bumbling cops, the pompous millionaire father and the irritating journalists. It actually takes a big swipe at the media and all the reporters who cover the story are portrayed as pathetic, desperate lowlifes.
