...you want info on plot the I suggest you read the reviews on the book (Under the children's section (strangely), authors name Ian McEwan).
The film however is different to the book. It has the same dark mood and the filmig style captures McEwan's own writing style very well. BUT there are differences in plot development which are always going to occur between page and screen.
