Advantages: none I can think of Disadvantages: You'll never want to go camping again!!!!!
I thought the Blair Witch Project was a big disapiontment. Everyone was going on about how great it was, I just couldn't wait to see it. But when I did, boy was it a bore. The first part of the film put my dad straight to sleep and I just couldn't get into it at all. By the middle of the film it started to get a bit better, you started to get a few scares, but by the end it had gone down hill again and the ending was the worst I've ever had to watch. ...

...really big screen cinema and the horror of the film barely got my adrenalin going but the fact that that they could barely hold the camera still for more than three seconds, meant that i felt like i was sailing across the pacific in a canoe. The only thing I admire about that film is that it must have cost them about 10 quid to make and then they got millions back from people expecting to see something a little more stable. ...

Advantages: It was came to an end. Disadvantages: It is a waste of 90 mins.
...Project had been out in the cinemas for about 3 weeks to go and see it. At first I had decided not to as it looked bad, but lots of people said how good it was so in the end I went.
I sat in the cinema for 1 hour and 30 mins thinking well it must be the ending which makes it a good film as so far it is terrible (well apart from when they walk in a circle and then the girl steps in the river and gets all wet then flips out).
The end of the film ... ...hour 30 mins of my life'.
When I next spoke to the people who had said it was good and I said it was bad, they all said well yeah, it was not as good as they had hoped either.
DO NOT FOR ANY REASON SEE THIS FILM! ...

Advantages: *thinks hard*.... nope, can't see any Disadvantages: one word - SHITE
...even if you take away the hype (which is bound to ruin a film before it starts), Blair Witch was still as boring as ever. This was one of the few films I actually considered leaving the cinema before the end, but I admit I held out just to see what all the hype was about. Surely it must get better eventually? apparantly not.
The 'incredible', 'ingenious', 'original' hand-held camera effects were so joggy they made your bleary eyed and sick before ...

Advantages: New and very creative film. Disadvantages: A bit unlikely on the plot side & dodgy camera work
Admittadely, the hype was unjustified as I watched the film, I wouldn't say its the scariest of all time...but if you study it carefully it becomes a very innovative and imaginative film that was well thought out. I think it was very good and the acting performances were very convincing for such an inexperienced cast. It is not however a film you could enjoy again and again. Also I feel the video version loses a lot over the cinema version due to ...

Advantages: Disadvantages: Bad and boring movie not characters that i care about
Yes, the kiddoes in BWP aren't always so bright, they keep the filming going too long when they should do something more useful and they bicker and get on each other's and our nerves and don't always do what we might do. In other words, they are like real college students.
But this is a scary movie that has a very good creepy atmosphere....something harder to capture than most people realize. The woods look dead and drained of life. The mental deterioration ... ...out are getting worse by the minute is very effectively done - to me that is the real horror of the movie and one which I can relate to more than any supernatural monster. You have to understand that the twigs and piles of stones are battering the minds of people already lost, hungry, tired and getting very desperate, and they would freak me out too. Heather's confession scene is a classic. The last scene is also a classic. I like ambiguity of it ...

...that thay dont muck up the film with the second Blair Witch Project which will be coming out soon the reson i say this is because the end of the film was just amazing. I think the end of a film is very inportent as not to tell you to much just let your mind do the thinking which is a lot more Scary then some stupid Special Efect. I havent seen i film which ended so well since Easy Rider. ...

.....because, frankly, who the hell dunnit? I mean, is everyone else who saw this farrago either smarter or dumber than me?
I have replayed the closing few minutes (described by at least two reviewers in the mainstream press as 'a shattering revelation') several times, and I still don't get it. Did the chap who threw away the map get the others? And if so, why? If not, who the hell did? Was the chap in the plaid jacket in the last scene before everything ... ...what? The conclusion, whatever it was meant to 'reveal', fell flat because the rest of the movie, which led to the dull denouement, promised much. Some agency, after all, had to be responsible for building of those funeral cairns, and the construction of those arboreal meccano-models, seen hanging in the trees. And if the disappearance of the chap who threw the map away was a red-herring, and the 'real' culprit was about to reveal itself ; or the ...
