...it, i'd never heard of the movie as part of the Disney series until I stumbled upon it on tv by accident, there was little else on at the time and so I decided to give it a chance, while the main characters are children I didnt find myself watching it as if it were a movie aimed at kids. I thoroughly enjoyed the movie and added the DVD version to my christmas list(which I was delighted to recieve) I now watch it often as part of my sci-fi/fantasy ...
...It is based loosely on the first two volumes of Lloyd Alexander's Chronicles of Prydain, a series of five fantasy novels which are often compared to Lord Of The Rings. A very different film to the standard disney storys we see. this film appears to me as a chirldrens horror kind of movie, about the ledgend of the black cauldron, it holds the power to wield an undead, undefeatable army. We are then introduced to a young pig-keeper named Taran, who dreams of being a great warrior.And one day, he finds that his pig can magically see the future, leading to the discovery that the evil Horned King is looking for the ...

...best. it has children as the main characters however if i was a child i would not want to watch this film as it does appear to be scary at times and even made me jump. the characters are made well but look a little etchy as it was an earlier made disney film. it is good value for money but children should be with adults when watching. the story is good. its about him getting his pig back after it gets stolen. i would recommend it to people to watch ...
