The Aristocats is one of Walt Disney's feature length animated films which he seemed to trot out regularly once a year. ...one child. Apart from the joy children bring to your life there are other benefits. Having spoilt my son rotten by buying him practically all the Disney videos I could lay my hands on (as much for my entertainment as his) I now find that the outlay is so much less for my daughter. Aristocats is probably the best Walt Disney animation, although maybe I'm biased because I love cats so. According to the blurb this was the last animated movie to get the nod from Walt Disney himself, so that shows you how old it is. (1970 if you want exact dates.) The Aristocats is a beautiful story about a family of cats, a mother and her three kittens, the cat family are top in their owner's will and stand to inherit her worth. They are then stolen and dumped away from their home and this story is mainly made up of the journey back to their owner. Along the way they meet some weird and wonderful characters, including a tom cat and his friends and some geese. This is typical of Disney where the characters ...
...adults alike. And being the Disney film that it is, all is ok by the end and everybody (well almost) lives happily ever after. ...daughter as I remembered enjoying the film when I was a child. I feel Disney videos are slightly overpriced considering they are aimed at children but at least you know the content is suitable for a small child. The story is a mix of talking and singing and follows the story of Duchess and her three kittens who are catnapped by the Butler of her rich owner. Duchess is helped to find her way back to Paris by Thomas O'Malley and his gang of Alley ...
...as with all Disney films there is a cutesy happy ending and all live happily ever after, apart from me as I am now getting a little bored with the film after seeing it at least twice a day every day. Never mind I'm off to buy Bugs Life now!! ...

...years, but I LOVED it! The story is still fresh and Disney creates one of the best central characters in Thomas O'Mally, and the songs are sensational! The film tells the tale of a rich city kitty and her kittens being catnapped and finding their way back to their much-loved home. With some zany but comical characters and the lovable Thomas and the kittens (although Marie does my boyfriend's nut!), this is accessible for all ages, I loved it as ...
...and a bit different to the usual Disney, jazz! Storyline is a tad predicatable but this film is definately aimed at younger child audiences than others such as The Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast. Animation is at it's best for the time period, however if a modern child watches this after Finding Nemo or Shrek they are bound to be disappointed.
