...all three movies now The Terminator in 1984 Terminator 2 - Judgment Day in 1991 and now T-3 Rise of the Machines 2003.
I didn't think they could make a sequel to a sequel that would be worth watching but I was wrong. Go and see it. I am a little bias as I am a big fan of Schwarzenegger, but still I think it is worth warching.

T-X is now after some of John Connor's (played by Nick Stahl) old school friends (apparently they are going to become his lieutenants when they attack the machines). One of these friends is ...

Also sent back through time is the T-X (Kristanna Loken) who has got menacing new abilities such as to control other machines and built-in weaponry. Advantages: More Terminator action, some original ideas. Disadvantages: None :)
(No Spoilers) The Terminator was groundbreaking, and Terminator 2 was a worthy sequel. Terminator 3 may not be the best of the Terminator films but it is definately a good addition to the series.
If you like the first two Terminator films, or the occasional apocalyptic action movie then Terminator 3: The Rise of the Machines is definately a good watch.
Arnie is ageless and just surperb as the T-101. Funnier than ever but just as Terminator-ish.
... ...addition to the cast.
Terminator 3 follows the same pattern as the previous two films - two Terminators sent back through time, one to assasinate, one to save - but it has some twists. And it sets up the possibility of a very different fourth film. Critics have described the plot as shaky, but I think if you're going to make another Terminator movie then this was the way to do it.
It sticks to the previous films in terms of storyline accuracy, ...

Advantages: Arnie is back! Cool machines and special effects. Disadvantages: Couldn't top T2.
...12 years, like many other Terminator fans. I cried at the end of the second movie (sorry!) so this one just had to be another blockbuster. Unlike the first two films this one was not directed by James Cameron, and boy did it show. The first two films were so successful because of Arnie, the directing and the main characters, alongside the superb special effects of course. Also the music was moving, emotional and befitting of such an action movie. ... ...from extra weapons and a rather nifty forefinger she is nothing special. The second film brought new characters, and new machines into the mix and obviously had the writers' imaginations working overtime. This one simply didn't. I think it was a remake too far. Some parts of the film are unbelievable and poorly written, leaving Arnie to act them as best he can under the circumstances. There is more humour in this film, perhaps too much and too predictable. ...

...concerning time travel modernises the Terminator saga but does so without realising that it is at the expense of reducing its impact.
The sci-fi tech-noir series, originally masquerading as a low budget 80s B-movie, has been succeeded by a high-octane action thriller with little to distinguish it from every other vapid effort that comes off the Hollywood summer assembly line.
Mostow, Brancato, Ferris and Sarafian apparently unacquainted with subtly ... ...The cast of Schwarzenegger, Stahl, Danes and Loken produce fine performances although Beltrami's score, unlike Fiedel's, is entirely unremarkable.

Advantages: If you have seen the first two, the film will keep you hooked to the screen Disadvantages: The film is a dissapointing editon to the terminator family
...a extreme fan of the terminator series i was excited to see what kind of plot they have devised after the second film.
I can honestly say i was dissapointed, the film was not awful, but it did run away from the plot in the second film, the acting from arnie himself was poor in this movie, when arnie plays the role of the terminator he usually is very good at acting like the cybernetic organism known a the terminator.
I said the film was not awful ... ...screen, the special effects were very good in some places and there is constant action, i think this is one of the faults within the film though, action scenes all the time, not really much plot to follow unlike the first and second film, especially the second film which went into great detail.
I think the director (Jonathan Mostow) seems to have focused on the special effects side of the film rather than going into concise detail of the plot, not ...

...must admit that I liked Terminator 1 and 2, and was happy to hear about T3 being released to help move the story along from where it was left off.
I left this film though thinking that it was a great action movie, with great special effects, but hounded by the fact that the storyline still doesn't seem complete.

...to see the preview of Terminator last Thursday and was really looking forward to it. The stunts and special effects were fantastic, but there were a few things that i was less pleased about. ...first two films in the terminator franchise I approached this offering with a little bit of trepidation. An aging arnie reprising a role he is probably no longer suited for. How wrong I was.

Advantages: great action good performances Disadvantages: some corny lines and a poor terminator movie
Terminator 1 was a landmark movie in my opinion, and Terminator 2 suprassed it, so the levels that T3 had to live up to were painfully high.
The movie starts well, with some great action sequences, and this follows throughout the movie, one scene sees Arnie driving a herse under a truck and it taking the roof clean off... very cool.
However, amazing action scenes don't really make up for the lack of mood which was apparent in the previous 2 movies, ... ...a lot of the Terminator storyline.
The makers do try and include some humour, which fails, miserably... And there are some painfully cheesey lines such as "She'll be back" - damnit, you knew it was coming, but you hoped and prayed he wouldnt say it.
But the downfalls dont take away from some excellent action scenes.
Overall, a great action movie, but a poor Terminator movie. Decide what you're expecting before the movie, and you wont be disapointed. ...
