But, as with all close friendships things do tend to boil over, especially when women are involved, (including a very comical incident when Jacks fall for the lady in one of the shops).
As you would expect from a show about pensioners, there are some funerals to contend with, which are sometimes sombre, but always with a hidden humour…
There are also many political issues which are discussed ... ...approach, but underneath the humour the topic of conversation is probably relevant to all who are watching…
So as the series continues, opening the doors to many situation for the town folk of Craiglang and the hardships they face, Victor and Jack simply moan on with a humorous attitude what ever life throws at them… and it looks like life has a hell of a sense of humour when Jack, Victor and Winston are involved, forcing them to deal with everything ...

...behind. The way in which Still Game is written is superb, with a laugh around almost every corner. Scottish comedy has rarely been as good as this, its simply a joy to watch. One of Still Game's strong points is the detail of all of the characters and the way in which this is revealed to the viewer. It is really easy to relate to them and the dialogue between characters is fantastic. Some of the supporting characters include Winston Ingram played ... ...What really makes Still Game a joy to watch is how the characters interact with each other. They almost make you feel like you are part of the community and can join in with their antics. Some of the situations Still Game explores are easy to relate to and make it that much more enjoyable to watch. I recommend it to any comedy fan who is looking for something original that will satisfy their need to laugh! You do not want to miss out on this comedy ...

Advantages: Exeptionaly Funny Disadvantages: some themes may not be fully appreichiated unless commonly introducted to some scotish background
i first seen this program on BBC2 when it was a substiture for a program that wasnt on and within the few minutes i has listen to the audio in the background it fully hooked my attention and has now for 3 years or more and i was excited to find they had realeased this box set and from the begin to the present day it stil has my in laughter no matter how many times i watch its an exeptaion comedy and deserves its own shelf in my collection im egerly ... ...best friends jack and victor who live next door to each other in a tower block in a rough area of scotland who keep us entertained not only off each other humour but the situations they can find them self enrolled and theres always time to visit the clansman and attempt to scan the bar tender boaby, this story is a perfect and very unique comedy in combining an exeptional viarety of characters that can make you laff until your sides split so i would ...

Advantages: Great Value, Clever Stories, Great Characters Disadvantages: Humour could be lost on those outwith Scotland
Finally the complete set of is available having watched this on TV I bought it as soon as it became available. I must say that I was not disappointed with the purchase, with just over 30 episodes following the unique residents of craiglang.
It follows the adventures of Jack Jarvis and Victor McDade, with many friends, Winston the booky addict, Isa the gossip, Navid the Indian shopkeeper with the Scottish accent, Tam the penny pincher, Boaby the ... ...the series.
Still Game has a great variety of stories all of which you can picture your grandparents in making this series really hit home.
