These films have been digitally remastered, which brings out the true brilliance of these films. They have always been a big hit with me from a very early age.
Personally I wasn't that keen on the added digital effects that do still seem to stand out from the orginal footage and also change my orginal memories from years gone bye, but having watched the fourth disc this is how George Lucas envisaged the films but technology wasn't upto the mark ...

The trilogy consists of probably the best films ever created - A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back and The Return Of The Jedi. The trilogy has been digitally restored and remastered with dolby surround with a couple of new/modified scenes throughout the trilogy. The trilogy starts of with A New Hope which involves the discovery of Luke Skywalker, the son of Darth Vader and without giving to much away is a classic film of good versus evil! The second ... ...personally believe is the best film in the saga and the best film ever created, with a superb storyline and imagination from George Lucas, the special effects are good for the year it was made as well. The Original star wars trilogy. I love these movies, these were George Lucases original 3 movies which finish the star wars saga. It is fantastic to compare the newer movies to these, the technology has come along amazingly but the puppets in the originals are still outstanding. I must say that i was slightly dissapointed when i bought this because after seeing the new movies it seemes a little outdated. In the new movies special effects are use ... ...when these dvds were made. Anyway if you have only seen the first 3 you have to see this to know how it all ends! Any other great film but it could have done with out the EWOKS I feel they are a bit pointless ... ...say that as my sister and mum really like them, they think they are sweet.

Documentary, features all actors and the great George Lucas himself. Video games, loads of behind the sence clips and even a preview of Episode III. I can't make my mind up between Darth Maul and Darth Vader.
