...that bears no resemblance to Star Trek. The movie was written by John Logan, who has the tendency to "borrow" things that work in other movies and put them into his own scripts. Well you will find many rips from Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan in this movie. And none of them work as well as they did in Wrath of Khan, which is partially due to the performances of the cast, and partly due to the directing. I cannot recommend buying this movie at all, ...
...off the collection of Trek movies... But this is the Special Edition, so where the movie fails, the special features can redeem. There are new commentaries, documentaries, deleted scenes and more that were not on the original DVD release of the movie.
