Speed is an absolutely awesome action movie. Jan De Bont was at the helm for this one and has produced a stunning movie. It has got the lot action, great acting, great plot and a little romance too. Advantages: Lots of action
Disadvantages: Becomes too much at times

The film Speed is an action film which once the plot has been established simply races along. When you consider that the premise of the movie is that a bomb on a bus will blow up if the speed of the bus drops below 50mph then it has to hasn’t it. Advantages: Entertaining, good plot, stunts
Disadvantages: nothing serious

...face real problems keeping the speed up, with all the traffic, but the hero policeman Jack Traven (played by Keanu Reeves in his first major role) manages to get on the bus. This creates a bit of a scene with another passenger who thinks hes going to be arrested, and the driver is wounded, so Annie (Sandra Bullock), takes over at the wheel. Advantages: exellent film with great characters

Speed stars the fantastic Keanu Reeves and the wonderful Sandra Bullock, along with Dennis Hopper. The main part of the film is based around 'the bomb on the bus', but we also see a bomb on an elevator at the beginning. So basically, the entire film is based aroud a bomb on something! Few films, aside from Die Hard, can deliver the adrenaline rush that come from this Keanu Reeves movie. While not usually a fan of Mr Reeves, his wooden acting actually fits in with this extremely solid movie. Everything about the film pumps with adrenaline. Here's good weird news for all you skeptics who never thought you'd live to see Die Hard set on a bus. Keanu Reeves is a Los Angeles SWAT cop against whom a flamboyant local terrorist (Dennis Hopper) has a personal grudge. Disadvantages: Gets boring after watching it 10000 times

Speed is a great film-need I say more! The main reason I like speed is because of the way the story pans out. Unlike most action films, there is just the one main bit. For example, in Speed instead of the train bit at the end, it would just end with the passengers being rescued. Instead there is the 'final battle' on top of a train (always good!) and Dennis Hopper gets his head knocked off by a light! The actors are great. I have always preferred ... Read review

Advantages: A complete action movie - a cracking romp of a film
Disadvantages: The ending is fine, but could be better

Any movie which takes itself serious;y (however good) will always have to watch itself be lampooned. Howevere "Speed" is above having to pay attention to movie purists who just want to rip a film apart on minutiae. We all know that in real life Keano Reeves would never be a bomb expert. We know coaches will find it hard to keep to 50mph and they certainly can't jump gaps in motorways over 20 feet. This is however fundamentally pointless, this ... Read review

This is a feeling in this film that Sandra Bullock is in the prime of her acting career because I think she done a great job in this intense action film you can follow from the very start to the very end. There are many twists and turns to keep you intrigued as to which way the film will next go. I personally like this film because of this.
