Advantages: Style, busy, action
Disadvantages: boring

...I was fairly disappointed with Sin City. The black and white visual style jumps out at you and is especially effective as only red is displayed. I enjoyed this effect and made the movie feel larger than life. The main problem with Sin City is that it's pretty boring. The story covers three interlinking semi-superhuman characters in a decaying city. Not being a comic book fan, or having read any of the comic books, I felt no nostalgia or affiliation ... ...I have read Frank Miller's Sin City but watching this amazing film has definatly made me want to. Full of action and jam rammy packed with pure style this film could be described as an orgasm for the eyes! I found this film to be very exillerating loads of action packed scenes starring the one and only bruce willis who stars as the only straight police officer in a crooked town. its bizzare how the stories in the film are all linked together to create one hell of a story line. it follows in detail how Frank Miller's graphic novel portrayed the story. Try to imagine every film noir you have ever seen, now add a splash of Hong Kong style action, top up with anime graphics and finally dose liberally with cynicism. Got that? Good cause you're only halfway there! This is one of those movies which comes as a complete shock to the system. This has to be one of mt favourite movies of all time. It has everthing you could want, action, comedy, violence, beatiful women, and an amazing cool feel to the movie. I think this movie is mainly aimed at a male audience, however i feel that women can also relate to it at times, my girlfriend liked it. ...the world seemed to go Sin City mad so i jumped on the band wagon. Fantastic performances from some of Hollywoods greatest and sexiest stars and they are able to pull you in to the movie. this film is worth every single penny and will surely go down as one of the greats!!! Advantages: beautiful cinematography

I have to say that I haven't been so eye wateringly bored since sitting through the equally tedious 'Kill Bill'. I'm afraid that a soulless stylish gore fest is not enough to keep my attention and I didn't make it to the third and final story.
