...do when you own all the seasons of the Simpsons on DVD? You buy these special box-sets. This one contains the following four episodes. • Who Shot Mr. Burns? Part One • Who Shot Mr. Burns? Part Two • Black Widower • Cape Feare I am pretty sure the first two episodes are the only example of a two part episode in the show’s history. They come from season six, and they are very very funny! The story revolves around Mr Burns being shot by an unknown gunman. ...
...in this DVD set is the time wait between the two episodes – months went by between the two parts in the US screening, and it was really used as an advertising campaign. Watching both episodes back to back in this format as presented here is still funny, but it loses some of its original charm. Mr Burns is really showcased in these episodes. In my opinion the quality of the Simpsons, particularly after season 14, has dipped somewhat. The episodes are still funny, but they're not as watchable as some of the classic episodes from earlier seasons. The reason for purchasing this DVD is that these four episodes are for me some of the finest, particularly the Who Shot Mr Burns episodes.
