...father and I sit through Shrek One and Shrek Two roughly 18 times. Now, I love the daft green ogre as much as the next demented mum, but I was starting to think bad thoughts whenever I heard that 5 letter name mentioned.
Out of sheer desperation if nothing else, we decided to take him to see Shrek 3 as soon as it was out. I don’t think Kyle slept for a week beforehand!

Advantages: Some good characters, but they're not the featured ones Disadvantages: No new bad guy and Shrek is boring as a character to care about
...film really need an introduction? Shrek 3, sorry.. Shrek The Third, is everywhere you look at the moment and with it only having been on at the big screen for a matter of days you can still find it popping up as you tune into your every day television shows. Only problem is a lot of people have already picked it up on the black market or downloaded it from the internet. I went to see an evening showing of the movie last night, the first time I have ...

Advantages: Some great comedy moments Disadvantages: A largely disjointed story that wastes its many promising sequences
...as promised, Dreamworks have delivered Shrek 3 just in time for the kids school holidays.
Lovable ogre Shrek is back, with all his usual backside itches, and groans about everything and everyone around him. After all, all he wants to do is live happily ever after in his swamp, with his wife Princess Fiona, just the two of them. Meanwhile Donkey and the Dragon have gone on to have their own little batch of dragon/donkey's, and Puss In Boots has ...

Advantages: Witty, great graphics, silky voices, memorable characters Disadvantages: Not the most original possibly
...can tell from the title, Shrek the Third is the third in the highly popular and successful Shrek franchise. It is due to open in the UK on 28 June, but opened here in Belgium last week. Six of us went to see it at the cinema on a wet Saturday afternoon, 2 adults, an 18-year old and three children (8,6 and 3). I shall just give a very brief taster of the film so as not to spoil it for those who will see it, and say what we thought was good and less ...

Advantages: High quality animation. Disadvantages: A dearth of story, directorial verve and originality.
...you can say about the Shrek films is that the animation goes from strength to strength. Full credit to Dreamworks' animation studio; their attention to detail is superb. As usual, the characters look splendid; they have a good sense of weight and underlying musculature, each has his or her own consistent mode of movement, they all have liquid, realistic eyes and millions of tiny details like individual pores, moles and hundreds of independently moving ...

Shrek was released in 2002, introducing the nation to the big, green not-so-scary ogre. Along with his 'friend' Donkey, Shre has to journey to rescue a beautiful princess, Fiona from a dragon and return him to Lord Farquad in order to ...

BACKGROUND
I'm not the world's biggest Shrek fan, although I have seen both of the previous instalments in the Dreamworks franchise. The first sticks in my mind for the at times hilarious interplay between Shrek and Donkey, but the second I confess I have virtually no memory of.
When Mrs Nobby invited me along to a special preview showing organised by her company on June 26th, I went along (a) to please Mrs Nobby (b) because it was free and ...

Shrek The Third Review ofShrek The Third (DVD)by

Advantages: Great story, characters Disadvantages: None
...and I have to agree, Shrek the Third was definitely my favourite film of all three, hilarious from start to end and a great film for all the family.
Don't get me wrong, I like the other two as well. Shrek is just a great cartoon that I think works really well because both kids and adults can find the jokes funny and appreciate the humour. They seem to have the same formula as the Simpsons, which appeals to all ages as well very cleverly. I think ...

Shrek the third
I am reviewing the newly released movie Shrek the third – he third edition of the fantastic Shrek.
Shrek 1
Shrek is a big green ogre who lived in a swamp, alone and loved it, until one day his swamp was invaded by all the fairytale creatures who had no where else to go. Lord Farquay sent them away from their homes and they ended up at the swamp, when Shrek heard this he & his new friend donkey went out to find this Lord Farquay, ...

Advantages: Still funny, good charcaters Disadvantages: Not as good as the first Shrek
Shrek 3 is apparently better than the previous two Shrek movies. I disagree and would say the first movie was better and that the characters have lost a bit of novelty however I would still say that this is an excellent family film.
The film follows on from the previous Shrek and starts with Shrek searching for a boy called Arthur because the King of Far Far Away has died and as Shrek is next in line but does not want to be King he tries to find ...

...films with the first two Shrek films are
close to the top of my favourites list.
The 3rd file (Shrek The Third) keeps up the tradition being a truely funny film, suitable for all ages with superb
animation a good plot and as usual a great voice cast and soundtrack.
The film starts with the death of the frog king of Far Far Away (Skrek's Father in Law) leaving Shrek (Mike Myers) as the
natural successor to the throne, a frightening ...

Then with Shrek away, Prince Charming, (voiced by Rupert Everett), stirring up hatred amongst the evil section of the fairy tale characters this leads to some very exiting action in the kingdom of Far Far away.

The villain comes now in the form of Prince Charming who tries to take over the kingdom in Shrek's absence. It is up to Shrek, Donkey and Puss in Boots to set things right.

...unpleasantly surprised. The first two Shrek films were massive blockbusters and raved about by anyone who saw them. Unfortunately, this film does not compare. ‘Rotten Tomatoes’ rates it only 41% and IMDB gives it 6.6 out of 10. I feel that these poor ratings are correct. It has a very poor story, the comedy is getting old and unlike the previous two, most of it is made for very small children and those without a sense of humour; there is no content ...
