...the wonder of Shrek.
Shrek is a big green ogre, who in the first film was looked upon as an evil monster. His mate is Donkey... possible THE most hilarious character ever created. Donkey and Shrek met when Donkey was running away from some people and then ran into Shrek and didnt get the hint to get lost. So they hang out for the whole film. He then falls in love with Princess Fiona, but the course of true love never did run smooth and it takes ... ...that Princess Fiona has married Shrek she has become an ogre. But now she needs to get the approval of Princess Fiona's parents, so they have set of on a quest to do so, with, of course, Donkey. However, when they get there their parents are in for a nasty surprise when they realise that their beautiful daughter has become an ogre.

...pair of…….handguns! Not that Shrek doesn’t deserve all the adulation and success that has come his way, because quite frankly, he has more charisma and star qualities then most of the overpaid moany bumpkins out there. Ok, ok so he's computer generated, and so what! Quite honestly, this is the most enjoyable film that The Sandman has had the pleasure of watching this year. Why in Shrek’s own swamp of course. One of these fairy tale creatures happens to be a talking ...

Advantages: Great animation Disadvantages: Not as good as the first film
After absolutely loving Shrek I was quite eager to see Shrek 2 and had extremely high hopes for the film. Now usually when this occurs the film turns out to be absolutely rubbish or if it isn't a total train-crash of a film then it at least de-rails at some point. Shrek 2 however didn't do this at all. Ok I'll admit that it wasn't as good as the first film but to be honest this is rarely the case with any film usually because quite simply the uniqueness ... ...Shrek 2 however can quite easily stand up on its own two feet and is a very enjoyable watch. Shrek 2 was released in 2004 with a U certificate and tells another fantastic fairytale style story in a fun and generally humorous way. After getting married Fiona and Shrek, both ogres, are well on their way towards that happily ever after moment they have both dreamed of but the time has come for the moment everyone dreads and so in another hilariously ...

...Children about an Ogre named Shrek and his donkey Sidekick. They set about a fairytale adventure after becoming unlikely heroes. Sounds pretty boring for adults doesnt it? Well let me put you straight... There is plenty of adult humour carefully disguised in this film so that it sails across the tops of the kiddie's heads and allows us all to chuckle along, even if we are laughing at different jokes. So really it is a masterpiece of filming. It appeals ... ...humour carefully nestled together so it does not interfere with the other one's viewing pleasure! The graphics and artwork is amazing. Obviously created with computers, the facial expressions and realism is out of this world. Examples would be the Princess and how real she looks and some of the facial expressions and actions the donkey makes. To add to the visual jokes and humour, the makers drafted n some very funny people for the voices. Firstly ...

...of their biggest wishes with Shrek – to beat Disney. While they’re last computer animated film Antz was the clear underdog against A Bugs Life, Shrek has become the biggest grossing film of the year, over $240m in the US alone (and it is on target to beat Toy Story 2’s gross) and that’s not counting all the merchandise out in force, and while Shrek leaps from strength to strength with a sequel already planned Disney’s ... ...What’s even better is that Shrek just loves to poke fun at Disney related films and fairy tales and is none too subtle about it. Advantages: Beautiful film, excellent animations, wonderful soundtrack, characterizations were brilliant. Disadvantages: Just the minor cuss words - which most kids probably hear a lot of now anyway ... and worse!
...And so it is with Shrek - you'll be bringing it out over and over for the kids that see it now, and then when the next generation is born it will be one of those classics that continue to enthrall future generations.
We finally got to see this over Christmas and I can't say enough about it. It was brilliant! Cutesy enough for the kids, but with enough little innuendoes in there to keep the adults amused as well. It’s definitely a movie for ... ...I was a child.

Shrek is a giant green ogre, with a strangely Scottish accent. Being voiced by Mike Myers makes him immediately funny. He lives near Duloc in a swamp on his own; all is fine apart from the occasional group of hunters.

Now there is Shrek (Mike Myers), what would appear to be a big, green, ugly Ogre. One who lives in his own little swamp, wants to be left alone and will take on anyone who crosses his path.

First the slightly technical bit! Shrek (1) wowed audiences with its amazing CGI, and Shrek 2's animation does not disappoint.
