Shrek is an animated affair which has nothing to do with Disney. Woohoo! Sorry, I'm not a fan of Disney, with its iffy WASP oriented 'moral' messages and sickening schmalz, so anything to steal the animated mantle from their heads is good for me. Shrek steals that mantle and grinds the competition into the dust. Post Shrek audiences will be heard saying "Toy Story 2? Ohhh, thats that dated old Disney thing back when animation wasn't that good huh?" ...
