The Plot
Sherlock Holmes once again goes up against his arch enemy Professer Moriarty who on this occaision has stolen a necklace belonging to Cleopatra. Holmes and Watson are soon in pursuit as Moriarty sets about covering his tracks......

Directed by Terence Fisher, who is mainly remembered for his long career with Hammer Horror Films. When at Hammer Fisher directed The Hound Of The Baskervilles a very effective Holmes film with Peter ... ...in 1959.
3 years later Fisher went to Europe taking Hammer star Christopher Lee and filmed this version . Christopher Lee makes a fine Holmes and Thorley Walters not a bad Watson trouble is they are saddeled with a lousey script and a slow story . The dubbing on the version I have is awful I am not sure if it is Christopher Lees voice they use it is definatley not Thorley Walters.
