****** Serial Mom ******
This film is one of John Waters finest; he takes a normal family and gives them a few interesting twists. Though this film is alittle predictable at times I don't think it matters one bit, as it suits the cast well. My cousin Thomas or Tomsk as I like to call him first showed me this film about 5 years ago, while having a pizza hehe. It really made me laugh at times how cheeky and naughty the mother (Kathleen Turner) is. ... ...her mother could be a serial killer.
As the police start searching round, all the evidence is leading them back to the middle class family, as they are getting closer and closer to the truth Beverly puts more of a brave face on. Until she gets found out when the police then send her to court, to await her trail.
Beverly decides that she wants to represent herself in proving her innocent where she tries to convince the jury that she didn't commit ...

You will have to see the film to find out.
This film is a little predictable at times, but Kathleen Turner is so convincing in this role I dont think that matters. Very amusing and entertaining.

Advantages: The best of American comedy. Disadvantages: Might not appeal to all senses of humour.
'Serial Mom' is a great comedy and a thoroughly entertaining film, exploiting to the full the talents of Kathleen Turner. She delivers a highly fun and amusing performance, from the start presenting the viewer with the image of a unique and humorous character.
The film is set in 1990s America with an apparently perfect household, ran by an apparently perfect housewife. However, this illusion is soon shattered and a somewhat more sinister appearance ... ...behaviour.
Her murderous exploits are not sick, but funny, so this film is not one for those with a humour based on light-hearted themes. She lives a dual life with a split personality and psychopathic tendencies- her constant and extreme changes from pleasant, loving lady to crazy killer adds to the entertainment value.
The acting is not always superb from all the actors, but this is not really detrimental, as it matters little with a comedy, ...

Advantages: Good laughs, high hearted angle on a serious true story Disadvantages: Characters sometimes very predictable, Acting not superb at all times.
Serial mom is a good-hearted twist on a serious true story. It stars Beverly Sutphin (Kathleen Turner) as a average fammily mom back in the suberbian towns of Arlington, Texas U.S.A. Although unknown to everyone else she has another side. This is quite comedic as she transforms from a nice pleasant woman to a heartless murderer. Must see, based on the true story of the worlds first female serial killer, a light-hearted comedy with a serious mesage. ... ...this comedy/thriller.
