Advantages: Some funny cameos here and there.... Disadvantages: ....although far toos scarce and the clarity of the original is lost.
I never indeed ‘got’ the Scream franchise. The first indeed had ‘that scene’ (the infamous Drew Barrymore murder scene). The second didn’t have anything (Rose McGowan came pretty close) and the third is just plain awful. The fault with the third one could’ve been put down to the stunningly awful script handed in by Ehren Kruger (who also wrote the mind-numbing ‘Deception’). The focus has invariably wondered from the central character Sidney Prescott ... ...Riley (real-life irksome couple Courtney Cox and David Arquette). It’s focus never seems to be sure and certainly tries to be too clever and stupid at the same time (If Sidney had a brother, why would she act so surprsed all of a sudden?). It seems to wrapped in it’s own in-jokes whether it be the current Hollywood scene (listen to all those wonderfully made up characters’ names!) or the horror genre (less so than in previous films). Carrie Fisher, ...

Scream 3 is the last chapter in the Scream trilogy, and it is as good if not better than Scream and Scream 2! Scream 3 still stars the three big ones from the first two: Neve Campbell, David Arquette and Courteney Cox Arquette, a few people from the other 2 films pop up as well. On the Scream 3 DVD you get many extras unlike Scream and Scream 2, you get: *Outtakes from all 3 Scream movies *Behind the scenes montage *Deleted scenes with commentary ... ...trailers Owners of Scream and Scream 2 on DVD will know this is 1000 times more extras than what was on those; on Scream and Scream 2 you get the following extras: *Ummm, nothing, sorry! Horror films generally use sound to enhance that ‘scary’ feeling and Scream 3 is no exception; Scream 3 surrounds you with both subtle whispers and shockingly loud bass filled stingers! This film is (apparently) using the latest sound effects called 'Dolby ...

Scream was groundbreaking in that it was able to see the absurd light in which horror film shad become viewed and managed to laugh at itself. Scream 2 retod the formula and when I head that Scream 3 was in teh offing, I was beginning to wonder if the producers had forgotten the original joke.
So I wasn't expecting anything more than a soft retread of the same old ground with the same tongue-in-cheek jokes reeled off by the same characters. Intstead, ... ...on. Scream was a great concept for three films, but any more and its gong to lose its original impact - the third film is the best of the lot, but any more would risk it becomng a Nightmare on Elm Street type series - one which nobody cares about. ...

Scream 1 - The first of this award winning thriller trilogy started after a series of mysterious deaths leaves everyone fearing for their lives, as no-where and noone is safe. A group of friends decide that they need to find out the identity of the killer in the scream mask ... ...the trilogy. Trust nobody.
Scream 2 - The sequal to Scream. Sidney Prescott (Never Campbell) thinks she has seen the last of the murders and was only just starting to get back on with her life, when the past comes back to haunt her in the form of a copycat killer. The killer starts to act out a real-life sequal and there are more deaths to be expected from this smash hit follow-up. Suspitions are thrown in every direction, as this thriller will ...

...best to watch at least Scream 1 (and advisably Scream 2) before you can even BEGIN to understand the story behind this movie. Die hard scream fans you will not be dissapointed there is twice as much blood, skinner legs than ever and of course the final showdown. Victim/ Heroine Sydney Prescott, survivor of the infamous Woodsboro killings (as featured in Scream 1) and survivor of the copycat killings (in Scream 2) is now living alone in a super secure ... ...a par with those in Scream 1 and 2, though I'm not sure how many ways of stabbing a booby blonde there can be on screen. As a fan of the old school Scream 1, I would put this below both Scream 1 and 2, though its definately worth a look if you've seen the origional 2.
An all round pleasing trilogy. ...

...is the reality for the Scream trilogy. Scream was a very good film but then Scream 2 was a duplicate of it this: Sydney is at the heart of the matter with a psycho in a shocking suit who kills everyone she knows because of something that her dead mother did. This psycho however follows the rules of a scary movie to play their game. In Scream 3 they defy these rules throwing the characters off on a tangent but thanks to Randy's convenient video they ... ...good. Not as good as Scream but better than Scream 2. As in the previous films characters Dooey, Gail Weathers and of course Sydney re-appear. The pardoned killer of Sydney's mother, Cotton Weary also puts in an appearance.
The plot is this: there is a film called Stab being made which is about the Sydney Saga of recent films. Each character is played by another character in this film, Stab. One by one however, the cast are being killed, seemingly ...

This threequel massively improves over Scream 2. But that ain't exactly hard. The photography and direction are still very bad but Ehren Kruger's script has a few neat ideas. Unfortunately these idea are ignored in favor of ultra-cheap scares backed up by a lethally loud soundtrack. How many of these sub-genre flicks are going to resort to these cheap tricks?
After a pointless, and very long opening, the film relocates from a college campus to Hollywood. ... ...by the masked one and the gratingly awful and highly cliched `who's the killer?' conversations follow.
People are chased down dark corridors…again. And loud noise, that is apparently music, attacks our inner ears and numbs our brains. In-jokes are lazy and not funny. Lance Henrikson is only in it for 2 seconds. And it gets quite boring. The only reason to watch this is the few decent ideas that are never realized or developed. 5/10 ...

IF YOU HAVN'T SEEN SCREAM 3 DO NOT READ THIS
I am possibly the only person out of all the people that I have talked to who found 'Scream 3' good. I felt that 'Scream 2' was an imporovememt on 'Scream' nad 'scream 3' was an improvement on 'scream 2'. The entry of Sid's dead mother I felt was something that no one could have predicted, in fact I thought at one point that they may even make the killer to be sid's mother inside her head. However in ...

Review of Scream 3 (DVD)
I've seen scream one but not scream 2, so i found it a bit difficult to follow. I don't usually jump at films, but i was scared to bits. I screamed once and jumped several (million)times. you try watching it in a pitch black room at midnight!*!*!* One critisism is that it was quite predictable, and when someone wasn't being murdered it was almost boring. If you have nothing better to do then rent it out, but if i was you then i wouldn't bother buying ...
Advantages: The action and comedy is still easy to watch Disadvantages: Suffers in comparison to the originals
I went to see scream 3 expecting the worst, I was most worried abour Scream 3 belittling the first two films which were both very cool. Thankfully I was pleasantly suprised by the concluding episode of this trilogy. No I won't say this is as good as the first Scream or the second... the originality of the first cannot be reclaimed and the ingenuity of the second can only be repeated not exceeded... It is however a decent enough horror flick.
The ... ...wearing some crazy costume... the problem with this film is that instead of allowing the audience to speculate over the killer, as was so well done in Scream, almost everyone in the movie appears guilty in some respect and it's impossible to work out who the killer is.
The usual cast is back... with Neve Campbell performing the necessary target duties and David Arquette and Courtney Cox appearing. The movie offers the usual amusing comments and ...

Advantages: Good fun Disadvantages: Not as good as the first two, no script from Kevin Williamson!
Scream 3 brought the successful trilogy to a climax. The third chapter again reunites Craven with David Arquette, Neve Campbell and Courteney Cox. Other cast members include Jenny McCarthy, Parker Posey and Patrick Dempsey.
Scream 3 takes place in Hollywood during the production of Stab 3. Three and a half years after leaving Windsor College, Sidney has settled and is living a life of seclusion in Northern California. But the peace is shattered ... ...it really worthy of the Scream name? Sure, it concludes and explains the whole trilogy, but, would it have been better just left alone? To me, this film was a good film, but one film too far for the Scream series, I recommend watching it, but don’t expect too much. ...

Advantages: Another Mystifying Whodunnit Disadvantages: None
Scream 3 finishes the scream trilogy in such a way that I felt quite satisfied. I really enjoyed this trilogy of films, right from the beginning. The first film was about Sidney totally oblivious to the fact that she was the killer's main target. In the second, she was more self aware, yet clueless as to the killer's motive and in the third, she has gone into hiding to avoid mad people! However, in the beginning of the film, a psychopath is trying ... ...girlfriend out of sheer anger because he didn't tell the killer where Sidney was. She is actually in a house in the middle of nowhere trying to protect herself and only a very few people know she's there. In Hollywood, Gale and Dewey meet up and discuss their past and also about the murders. It seems Gale doesn't know when to stop, though I don't want her to, personally. Everyone gloats about Parker Posey and she is quite good in the role though ...

...in the first 2 films. Scream unfortunaltely did not manage to do either.
It is hard to believe that Wes Craven can put his name to something as stupid as this film is. He has in the past made films that have kept me awake for weeks on end, really scary ones that you know in your head can't be real but when night falls your brain stops working properly and you don't know what might pop out from under your bed.
I would not actually class scream as ... ...to wait ages to see the third one, and to be honest I don't know why I wasted my time watching it.
The acting was fine there is nothing to comment on there, but the story line is stupid. Gail Weathers, Dewey and Sidney, who were all in the first film are all in this, that is the easy part to understand.
The film is about the making of STAB 3 which is a film about Scream. So aswell as the three original members of the cast you have 3 actors playing ...
