I thought that scary movie was brillant. Billy Elliot was sold out, so I saw this. Perhaps watching it with my parents wasnt the best thing to do but nevermind. This film manages to make a total mockery of Scream with great results. Scary Movie has got to be the worst movie of the year. No plot, bad acting and generally just terrible. The only thing scary about it is how bad it is. ...seen all those crappy teen scary movies (Scream 1,2,3,4,...,27, I know what you did last summer, ect, ect) you may not catch alot of the gags. Plus the Wayan brothers threw in alot of homosexual jokes that may not go over too well with everyone. Far from an oscar pick, but how can you go wrong with a surprise summer blockbuster that cost barely anything to make. They even poked fun at the special effects in the Matrix, it was funny damnit! I think everyone is being way to harsh on this movie. I don't think the writers had a in-depth story in mind when they thought it up. It is not drivel, lighten up, this film is what is called a comedy. It is also a very funny comedy, thats why it topped the box office in America. Scary Movie is hollywoods latest adult comedy, as a regular film goer I went to see this thinkinmg it would be a bit of fun. I was not let down in any way.
