if you have seen the adverts, don't watch the film, if you have seen the adverts you won't see any thing new that is funny! it has no story line thant relates to anything!! i think this was the worst five pound i've spent at the cinema in a good long while, it has so much hype then what a let down!! very dissapointed by the whole thing. Having now watched this film twice, I am now in a clinic to try and stop my uncontrolable laughter. One of the funniest films ever to grace the screen, It takes it laughs from some of the greatest horror films ever. Blair Witch project, and the Exorcist to mention a few. This is your typical spoof film. It concentrates on the recent horror film releases the main one being "Scream" but also a fair amount of "I Know What You Did Last Summer". Sitting inside my new university accomodation on a gloomy wednesday afternoon was what 'inspired'(!) me to pop down to the local cinema to see what was on. My mate had been ranting and raving about how good 'Scary Movie' was, so I decided to stretch those pennies a little bit and go see the film. Once sat down with popcorn and Coke at my side, the movie started. The 'Airplane' type comedy from the outset of the film got me (and the rest of the audience) ...
...the rest of the film and noone was dissappointed. The excellent combination of mystery plus thriller plus comedy would often cause the audience to roar so load, it occasionally drowned out what was being said. Some parts of the film were sloppy, some were quite predictable, but then, what's a movie without thse ingredients?!?!?! All in all, an excellent film that I'd recoomend to anyone - sense of humor or not! ...

I think they should come out with the scary movie parodies first so that when the real movies that they spoof aren't so scary.The best part of the movie for me is when Carmen Elktra lost one of her implants I thought that was histerical. Well, here it is short and sweet just how you like it ;) Im sure you dont have an hour to read an extremely long review so here goes.... This is the first installment in the "Scary Movie" series which poke fun at all those tee slasher movies that seem extremely corny to the modern youth. As is with most movies which have sequels the first is often the best and then it all goes down hill from there. This a good movie to watch with a bunch of friends ...
...unwind after a long day or work or hard studying. The acting in the movie is not the best I've seen but its sufficient for the comedy involved. The movie almost takes a realist view at all the teen slasher movies of the past, and as Homer Simpson says "Its funny because its true." I would recommended consumers to purchase this DVD if and only if you can get it at a good price if not renting it from your local video store would be sufficient. Enjoy! ...
