Advantages: funny movie, good transfer, good deleted scenes
Disadvantages: not many extras for a hit mainstream movie

...much from the soundtrack and Scary Movie is no exception. There are some good bass moments whenever a scare is to be found but overall the surrounds are used sparingly with the majority of the soundmix confined to the fron speakers. But like I've said this is what you expect. Now because the film was huge hit and very popular you'd think that some effort would be out into the bonus materials on the dvd. ...there was a plot to Scary Movie or whether it was just me who didnt understand how the film worked!! Overall it is hilariously funny and anyone who watches it will definitely be needing a change of underwear when the 95 minutes or so are over! As soon as i saw the trailors for the film i knew i had to go and see it. I am already a big fan of teen-slasher horror movies and spoof films, so a film that combines the two has got to be a must see. The one thing i would point out is that you need to have watched atleast ONE scream film and possibly 'I know what you did last summer' to really enjoy the plot and understand the jokes. ...movie at the same time. Scary Movie then decides to spoof this? Whilst Scream is actually very cleverly done and actually funny Scary Movie is a lame excuse for crude jokes and poor writing. This film is a comedy horror which makes fun of the teen slasher genre by spoofing films such as Scream and I Know What You Did Last Summer. I have never been a big fan of movie spoofs or the slasher movie genre encompassing such movies as Scream and I Know What You Did Last Summer etc. so i went to see this movie expecting to be unimpressed - but was pleasantly surprised. This is a very funny movie.
