...leads in but since seeing Rush Hour I have made an effort to see as many of them as possible. A superb performance from Jackie Chan, which helped him brake the elusive American market, as he shows he has both a comic and serious side in this film. He choreographed all the Martial Art scenes himself and also does all his own stunts.
As for Chris Tucker he is the exact opposite of Jackie Chan. Advantages: Hilarious, side splitting and action packed!!!! Disadvantages: Makes you ache from laughter! he! he! he!
...or two since i watched Rush Hour, but everytime i think about it, i have to laugh. I mean, Jackie Chan is very funny, but Chris Tucker just makes your sides split!!! His character, James Carter, is a LA detective who longs to be an FBI agent, but is generally seen as a joke to all his colleagues. Nothing and no-one can hurt him, and he constantly jokes about everyone and everything.
His big break comes when he is assigned to what he believes to ... ...much to the film.
This is certainly one i recommend everyone to watch, as it never stops being funny. I feel that there is not really anything bad you could possibly say about this film. Cant wait to see Rush Hour 2, its bound to be great!!!!! (I hope!!!!!!) ...

Advantages: Chan and Tucker Disadvantages: Less of Jackie's stunts than normal
...production until the release of Rush Hour. Rush Hour pairs Jackie with Chris Tucker, who most will remember as "Ruby Rhod" in The Fifth Element. Yes, it's the guy with the annoying voice! While I didn't find Tucker as annoying in this film as I did in Fifth Element, those who simply despise him will probably have a very difficult time enjoying Rush Hour. This movie has no hidden meanings or deep lessons to be learned; it's nothing more than an action ... ...stunts than usual. Rush Hour is part of New Line's Platinum Series, which pretty much guarantees it's one fantastic disc. While the only language available is English, the video is provided in it's original 2.35:1 aspect ratio, enhanced for 16x9 televisions. The picture is sharp but occasionally somewhat blurred, and the audio is very good. An audio commentary track with Director Brett Ratner as well as a track featuring an Isolated Score are available, ...

Advantages: Brilliant martial arts by Jackie Chan and a feature packed disc Disadvantages: It's a bit what you've seen before, just done better...
Rush Hour is another average story of two mismatched cops trying to solve a kidnapping case. The difference being that it's done in the most entertaining way, thanks mainly to Jackie Chan's truly unbelievable martial arts stunts. Chris Tucker provides the obligatory loud mouth 'funny one' character. The DVD boasts 17 featuretes (actually, a short documentary divided into 17, 20 second sections) Also two music videos which include some clips of the ... ...movie. With a very pleasing commentary from the director plus some 'nice enough' animated menu's for scene access an that this really is a worthwhile purchase. And better still it's one of those movies you can usually find at a good price (Though I don't know why) I got a copy on DVD for £6.99! ...

This is a brilliant DVD it brings the best out of Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan as a person.

Advantages: Loads including extra music video's Disadvantages: None
Absolutely hilarious, outstanding action throughout, makes this one of Jackie Chan's finest works. Aside from him you have the enormously funny Chris Tucker making the usual faces and noises, or possibly just being himself, well able to make the pope drop in laughter.
With the exception of the Fifth Element movie, this has got to be his funniest.
The story is about a Chinese official who's daughter is kidnapped, this calls for Tucker as a wanna ... ...a top cop from China to work together in uncovering a plot full of twists and turns, rescue the girl and keep the peace between China and the USA.
As this unlikely duo work their way through the suspects with rib tickling humour, the fists fly with the superior action that Chan is so famous for. It's a must for any collector of comedy or martial arts.
On top of the great action this film has an excellent sound track that can only really be enjoyed ...

Extremeley funny that is the best way I can possibly describe this film! Both the main ators Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker are superb in their roles in the movie.
Chan plays a chinese special agent who comes to find the ambassadors daughter after she is kidnapped, and Tucker plays an NYPD cop who is brought into the FBI to look after Chan and keep him from looking for the ambassadors daughter because the FBI want to do it all themself.
the plot ... ...effect are spectacular and the stunts are superb. The soundtrcack isnt bad either.
Chan is arguably the fastest martial artist ever to be in films, even faster than Bruce Lee, he is exellent and not a bad actor either considering he cant speak english very well, and Chris Tucker is hillarious. ...

Advantages: Tucker and Chans partnership Disadvantages: Week story
...then look no further than rush hour. Most of the performances are forgettable but the magnatism between Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker is wonderful.
Tucker is a cop on the verge of suspension, he has his own poor way of doing things and loves to annoy. Chan is a very talented cop who likes doing things the right way. The two must team up to try to find a young girl who is a friend of Chan's charecter, leading to hilarious results. Other performances ... ...rather lackluster plot.
The two and their individual styles are very complimentary and make for a funny film. I normally avoid films with either of these in at all costs but the trailer for this one seemed so appealing and I have no regrets about seeing it and purchasing in on DVD. As usual Chan's stunts are breath taking and you can actually understand his English in this one! The soundtrack is forgetable, the storyline is weak and the cop duo ...

This film has to be one of my favourites at the moment, I can't stop watching it. it is so funny. Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker make the funniest partnership. I would definitely reccomend anyone who likes action or comedy films to see this, it's brilliant.

"Jackie Chan has never looked so good"...
Everyone i knew was raving about this film so when i finally began to watch it my expectations were great and to be quite honest it certainly didn't dissapoint... The stunts are awesome, the comedy is hilarious and Chan + Tucker work marvelous together.
But..this is the sort of action/comedy that just can't help but be corny but only in the any other action movie is but that isn't to say this isn't enjoyable ...

Jackie Chan always provides a smile with his original fighting and the way he adapts it to his surroundings. Chris Rock, a cop with a pretty poor track record teams up with a Chinese policeman in an effort to save a kidnapped child. Rock, with his whining voice is extremely funny with his quick one liners, which tells you the script is good and Chan assists him. Its an unusual but great double act which keeps your eyes glued to the screen, when youre ...
