Advantages: Feel-good, fluffy, sweet! Disadvantages: A bit dated
Romy and Michele's High School Reunion is my all-time favourite film. It's a fluffy, feel-good film that is guaranteed to have you laughing, no matter how many times you've seen it before! It's very American and a little dated (it was released in 1996) but still fabulous!
The storyline revolves around Romy White and Michele Weinberger, two dumb, ditzy American blondes. They are played by Mira Sorvino the Oscar-winning star of Mighty Aphoridte and ... ...Buffay in Friends!
When Romy and Michele hear their old high school back in Tucson, Arizona are having a reunion, they jump at the chance. After all, this is their big chance to show their bitchy ex-classmates how fantastic their lives now are. They are now slim, pretty blondes living in Los Angeles whereas their old classmates are still stuck in Tucson, and they can't resist going back to flaunt their new lifestyles to the people who thought they ...

...is a trendy comedy about Romy and Michelle's 10 year high school reunion. At reunions, everyone wants to come across as successful and happy in life. When filling out their reunion information sheets they realise, hang on...what have we done with our lives?
Here is a small section from that part of the film -
ROMY:"Do you think it's impressive that we're still single, and we've been living together for 10 years, and I'm a cashier and you're unemployed?"
... ...impress people?"
MICHELLE:"Well...eh..."
When Romy and Michelle were at Sagebrush High 10 years ago, they weren't successful or popular then either. Going to this reunion is their opportunity to show their old classmates how much they have improved their lives. Romy used to be over weight which she has now lost and Michelle was constantly teased by the A group for having a backbrace which is obviously long gone. They both liked men that were not ...

...a natural comedy talent. In Romy and Michelle, her role is rather similar to Phoebe in 'Friends' only a little more bimbo-ish with a keen eye for fashion.
The story is quite basic but a little more unpredictable than most, with a couple of twists and turns here and there. ...Background on Romy & Michele ------------------------------------ To make this opinion more interesting, I've added this background section. The information comes mainly from stories I have read over the years but also from movie sites and fan sites. "Romy & Michele's High School Reunion" was released in 1997, but the characters go back long before then. The movie's writer, Robin Schiff, wrote a play called "The Ladies Room" back in late 80s. The ... ...were two minor characters called Romy and Michele. Robin Schiff envisioned them as two ordinary looking girls who thought they were really hot disco babes. Even though Romy and Michele were secondary characters, the audience constantly responded so strongly to them that they emerged as the comedic high points within the performance. The play eventually caught the eye of a film producer who had the idea of transforming Romy and Michele into lead characters ...

...It starts off showing Romy (Mira Sorvino) and Michele (Lisa Kudrow) watching ‘Pretty Woman’ in their flat and they are taking the mickey out of it. The Story
Romy White and Michelle Whineburger have been friends since the start of High School, which they attended in Tucson a dead, lifeless town, which they can’t wait to get out of. Actual Film

I also like the way that it doesn’t really result to bodily functioned jokes like so many other films of this genre an actual real treat, the only problem I would have is that some of the actors are really awful, and ...
