It has really stood the test of time as it hasn't dated.
It opens with an Hen Minstral, singing the story of Robin Hood.

Robin spends his life trying to make life better for the poor and as a result is an enemy of king john who is mean and greedy and always increasing taxes to get more money out of the poor.
