Now I know what Milking the prostate means.

Advantages: Like American Pie, crude funny and complemented with a great young cast.
Disadvantages: I thought that it ended a bit too quickly.

Road Trip - 2000 - Dreamworks Pictures Starring - Breckin Meyer, Seann William Scott, Amy Smart, Paul Costanzo, D.J Qualls, Rachel Blanchard, Fred Ward and Tom Green. Directed By - Todd Phillips Produced By - Ivan Reitman, Tom Pollack, Daniel Goldberg. First Impressions - I remember this film first coming out in the cinemas and thinking about how it looked like 'American Pie'. It was the same reason that I didn't rush out to see either of these films. ...
...this film nearly as much as 'American Pie'. Unfortunately I have only had the privelege of watching it in VHS format, although I do intend to buy the DVD very soon. Minor Description of Plot - The film starts at Ithaca University, New York with Barry (Tom Green) showing a group of future pupils and parents around the campus. After taking a bit of flak from several of them he proceeds into telling "the greatest story ever told". This is where you ...

Road trip is it better than American pie

Advantages: A good laugh
Disadvantages: some jokes or too crude and not that funny

...the chances are you’d enjoy road trip. Road trip is about 4 American collage students who go on a road trip to intercept a sex tape that, the main character Josh made and accidentally sent to his girl friend. Deciding to intercept the tape Josh enlists the help of the ‘party animal’ L A, his very clever roommate and a ‘nerd’ who owns the car Josh needs for his trip. The story is told by Tom Green who is a friend of theirs ...
...Although this film is very funny and I’d tell anyone it’s worth seeing, it’s jokes go ‘over the line’ in places and it just isn’t as funny as American Pie. If you want a good laugh than Road trip is the film for you, there are better films out there. ...

...sure bet on everyone liking Road Trip. It comes from the same idea as American Pie. It follows some university students on a road trip to get a tape of one of the students with another woman, which was mistakenly sent to his girlfriend at Austin University. The film is funny throughout and Tom Green who narrates the story to prospective students is very amusing, especially when he does his snake feeding ritual. The Granddad alone, later on in the ...

Road Trip

Advantages: One for the boys, a few funny moments
Disadvantages: a bit cliche and crude

Film - Road Trip Stars - Breckin Mayer, Amy Smart, Tom Green You'll like this if you like - Euro trip etc, teenage boy humour Plot - After having a dream that his girlfriend Tiffany cheats on him, Josh (Breckin Mayer) gets drunk and has an encounter with sexy student Beth at a frat party while his girlfriend is hundreds of miles away at her own college. After realising it was a mistake, Josh puts the whole incident behind him. Unfortunately for ...
...back, Josh and some friends road trip across the states having fun along the way. Whats it like? - This film is aimed at teenage boys but does have some moments that others would find funny. If you don't like Tom Green, you aren't going to enjoy his scenes as he gets up to his usual antics, but thankfully is not there for most of the film. This film was at the beginning of Amy Smart's career and so she is basically there for eye candy, her character ...

Unleash the fury Mitch

Advantages: Very funny and exceedingly easy to watch
Disadvantages: Some of the humour goes down paths of much funnier films

Road Trip is yet another “rite of passage” movie that catalogues the misadventures of a group of American college students. The plot is definitely a bit thin but its comic elements more than make up for that thinness. It all revolves round one particular student who has a long distance relationship with a girl he has grown up with. As a result of one nights aberration with another girl his entire world is tipped upside down which some ...
...and so the journey begins. The journey is presented to the viewer in a semi-narrative style which helps the story being told in an episodic manner (something I personally enjoy). There are many genuinely funny scenes throughout this film, one of my favourites has to be the situation that one of Josh’s (the main character) friends ends up in at the sperm donor depository. A lot of the humour is aimed at the male viewer but there are scenes ...

could not stop laughing

Advantages: funny and interesting all the way through
Disadvantages: nothing really different

Road Trip is sort of an American Pie type film about your typical American group of teenagers getting into trouble! It's funny all the way through but quite predictable and not as good as American Pie. I would definately recommend watching it but maybe wait for it to come out on video? If you thought American Pie was good though you will love this. The skinny bloke was a great character, he was hilarious. Sort of reminds you about that bloke at ...

the rules of cheating

Advantages: funny and entertaining
Disadvantages: none

What is classified as cheating? Well according to this film its not cheating if, you're in different area codes, you're with two people at the same time, as they cancel each other out. BUT it is cheating if you videotape it and send it to your girl friend! This film is about a university student who films himself have sex with a friend. Then in the morning all his friends want to watch it. but it has been sent to his girlfriend by mistake (if your ...

Josh is more worried about getting the tape back, so he knocks on the door of some geek to help him. Evidently this geek has a car. So of goes a carfull of students, 1800 miles away. They only have 3 days to get there, as this is when the girl friend gets home. Also they need to get back for exams! Well ...

A Teen Film?

Advantages: Less juvenile jokes
Disadvantages: Tom Green

I personally found Road Trip to be an excellent movie that didn't score cheap shots as many other teen movies do. Yes, I admit it was aimed toward a younger audience. Yet, many adults still found their way into the theatre as opposed to paying it little attention. Consider this: if the main characters were a little older and the point of the Road Trip wasn't so juvenile, this movie wouldv'e gotten much better reviews. Don't get me wrong, there ...
...I got the feeling they were forced in to the script to live up to the expectations of the teen crowd. As for the older crowd, myself included, I loved the more thoughtful jokes but found the less serious ones relaxing and helpful in settling into the comfortability of the movie. ...

...American Pie then you'll like Road Trip. Although it's not exactly an original storyline, the acting and the sheer funniness of it makes it stand out from the rest. The plot moves along smoothly as well and some of the lines used will have you laughing so hard! The unexpected will also ...

A Pleasent Trip

Advantages: Funny, Funny, and Funny
Disadvantages: May not appeal to all

Road Trip is one of those love-it or hate-it films, which, unlike American Pie, cannot be enjoyed by everyone. Aimed solely at the younger audience, or at least younger in spirit, this is definitely not a film for anyone expecting a comedy classic full of witty Billy Crystal-style one-liners or Bill Murray dryness. This is probably the least subtle comedy I have ever seen, but it is also one of the funniest. Hilarious through its stupidity, the real ...
...However, the rest of the cast all put in superb performances and, although none are Oscar-worthy, they each create likeable and hilarious characters. If you like your comedies disgusting, abusive, outrageous and stupid, this has it all. If not, check it out with caution – you probably won’t be disappointed, but you could. ...

...you've seen the previews of Road Trip, you've seen the best bits of the film. It made me laugh out loud on a couple of occasions, but the humour is largely confined to a very infantile level, that doesn't make it bad though. Several gratuitous breast shots (and very nice they were too) earn the film its 15 rating, that and some questionable antics with a white mouse, the missus had to look away - DO NOT try this at home kids. The story is secondary ...
