Advantages: Funny, enjoyable with good likeable characters. Disadvantages: Dont waste your money on DVD purchase.Wait for bargain Video offer.
Infidelity, dope smoking and feeding snakes all play their parts in this funny and enjoyable film. The hero of the story Josh has accidently mailed a video of his infidelity to his long term girlfriend 1800miles away in another college. He now has 3 days to get there and intercept the package, before the sticky stuff hits the fan.
This film follows the formula of a hero,a quest and a maiden to save. The followers all play their parts well aiding our ... ...film that I didn't particularly like was the use of a narrator in telling the story as a memory. This didn't really add to the film in any way ,and the time wasted would have been better spent on one more comic episode within the journey.
Overall I really enjoyed the film for what it was.Good fun ,funny ,engaging with memorable characters and comic set pieces that will stay in my memory.Definately better then American Pie,Watch it.
The 2nd part ...

Advantages: incredible comedy situation, endless row of funniest jokes Disadvantages: humor can seem too limited
Road Trip, from one point, can seem different from the other row of “teenage movies” we see everywhere. Those always finished with a “prom ball” and sometimes we wonder: what’s happening next? This time the characters are already on the first course and we can see everything going on. In the same time, nothing else has changed: the type of jokes is the same, focused on sex, food, toilet and things like that. This time, ... ...cinema- the idea of a road trip. “People driving in a car across the USA and having adventures”. This time, there are more than enough adventures and plot lines. Josh, a first grader, is trying hard to stay faithful to his school girlfriend Tiffany (hello to “prom” movies). He films himself, singing a cheesy love song, on videotape and prepares to send it to her. Later that day, after a party, the idea of keeping the faith ...

Advantages: quite funny in places Disadvantages: we've all seen the story before
Road Trip is yet another movie about teens doing what they (supposedly) do best - acting crude!! Coming in the wake of American Pie this movie uses the same sort of humour and is obviously following the recent Hollywood trend. The story itself is nothing new. High school sweethearts have to split up when they go to University - but they promise to remain faithful to each other (aahhhh - how sweet!!). The female half of the pair (Tiffany) has managed ... ...(Josh) is quite happy remaining celebate and ringing several times a day. He even send her videos of himself. After a party Josh ends up in bed with a sexy blonde - who decides to videotape the experience. The next day Josh finds the tape has accidentally been mailed to his girlfriend instead of the rather dreary rubbish he usually produces. And so starts a chase across America to try and get to Tiffany's post box before she does (she is conveniently ...

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh Road trip, I first saw this on video and then DVD. The film was the same yet the extra options on the DVD such as 'edited scenes' and music videos made the DVD experience that much better. The storyline is fairly simple yet surprisingly effective. The film follows a college guy named Josh on a trip to his 'long distance' girlfriends (who he has been seeing since he was about 6 years old)college in the hope that he can retrieve a video ... ...of weakness that he had (yeah u get the picture ) before she gets back from here grandparents, and if things weren't bad enough for poor Josh his Mid-term exams are only days away.Thats all i'll say about the storyline so as not to spoil it :o).
The 'road trip' that is undertaken is full of humour from the word go. With the obvious stereotyping in Josh's companions, firstly there is his best friend who is a typical care free college student whose ...

So you're in a long term relationship, living 1,800 miles from the one you love, and haven't had sex in months. It isn't really classed as cheating if you sleep with someone else, cos you both live in separate area codes, right? Not unless you video tape the event and mail it to your girlfriend!!! That's the basis behind "Road Trip", Ivan Reitman's latest outing. College bum Josh has 3 days to get from Ithica University, New York to Austin, Texas ... ...funeral to find the video of Josh and another girl, mistakenly mailed to her by Josh's inept friend and college drop-out Barry. Together with the help from best friends E.L. and Rubin along with campus geek Kyle (who is only involved because he has a car), the quartet set off on a frantic journey across America. Naturally, all sorts of mayhem ensues, from "accidentally" blowing up Kyle's dad's car, to stealing a bus from a blind school! "Road Trip" ...

Road Trip is above all a very funny movie; it is designed to be watched with your mind firmly in neutral, somewhere around the level of the gutter. The plot is pretty much non-existent and in any case is completely in the background and simply used as an excuse to set the scene for the comedy moments, something like a sit-com.
The characters are not particularly strong, but are rather designed as stereotypes from college who can easily be identified. ... ...perspective, and a fairly warped perspective it is too, of a guy who can at best be said to have no life whatsoever and seems designed to make him and his home town college appear more interesting to the group of prospective students he is showing around.
If you have in the past enjoyed movies like ‘American Pie’ or ‘Something About Mary’ then this is one not to miss but if you like something a little more stretching then pass on this one. ...

Road Trip, it's not as good as American Pie is it!
This film made it on the back of the success of AP. there's no doubt about it. It also helped to have one of the main cast members in both films.
There's no doubting that it has some funny moments, namely when the boys visit the grandparents and when they visit the sperm bank, but that's about it. It's forced comedy, whereas AP is crammed full of natural homour.
I did enjoy the performance of ... ...that it's one dimensional and over hyped. Tom Green may be hilarious on MTV but he's got a small part in the film, which is suprising seeing as the film was marketed on his face.
If you haven't seen it and are thinking of buying the DVD, buy AP instead. ...

Road trip has to be the funniest film ever. I first saw it on DvD and I was so surpised. I have seen American pie and I didn't think it was that good but Road trip is the best. It has funny characters in it like Tom green, he makes the film work with his encounter with the snake. As American pie had loads of really beautiful girls in so did road trip.the road trip takes place from austin to bostin. The film is about a guy who has a long distance ... ...questions. But then he finds a new girlfriend and the think it would be fun to film them getting off. They do it then the guy realize that he has sent the wrong film to his real girlfriend and they have to go and retrieve it. The story gets better and better as there trip counties. They run out of money so the have to do some extreme things to get more money.
I suggest that you go and see it because it will have you increases. ...

I watched Road Trip yesterday afternoon on video and I had a few good laughs. The only actors I recognized was Tom Green off The Tom Green Show on MTV and the blonde guy off "Dude, Where's My Car?" (Seann William Scott). I think Tom Green is pretty funny and he plays the part well in Road Trip.
This movie is a comedy with a lot of adult humour. It centres around Tom Green (who plays Barry Manilow) who narrates a story a story about 4 college guys ... ...to be a nerdy one in flicks like this who make the movie that bit funnier, this being no exeption. If you enjoy Tom Green you should like Road Trip but it is not as twisted as his show. This movie should get a few laughs out of everyone watching. ...

Road Trip is widely known as the successor to American Pie. I feel this film does not live up to the expectations and doesn't come close to American Pie. American Pie will be remembered for mainly years to come, as it's the first of its kind (which made big bucks). American pie was about a few guys trying to get laid. Roadtrip however is about a retrieval of explicit videotape, sent to a long-term girlfriend 1,800 miles away. This was sent by a flatmate ... ...home video of himself talking to his girlfriend (Beth -Amy Smart). One night after a party he had sex with a girl who decided to record them doing it. The next day when Josh was very happy he told his flat mates about his night of passion. They did not believe them so Josh told them about the tape. To his horror josh's flatmate had sent the wrong tape, Josh was left with the video diary. They set off 1,800 miles to save the day! This is a classic ...

This is an amazingly funny film, which is certainly realistic to what college life is really like. It has so many funny moments. One of my favourites being when the skinny ald has to bed to the big fat women! This film has it all and is based around the gang going to intercept a parcel that wsa accidently sent by mistke. The parcel was of a video tape showing anaffair between a boy and girl which was on its way to the boys girlfriend. they eventually ...

Dude, It's Road Trip time!
I'd seen this film at the Cinema when it first came out and as soon as it was out on DVD I bought it.a real contender with American pie.
Starring - Seann William Scott, Tom Green, Amy Smart, Brekin Meyer, Racel Blanchard, DJ Qualls, Paulo Costanzo.

A trip to a Sperm Bank for cash, the exploding of a car and a case of mistaken identity at Boston are just some of the wondefully crafted scenes in this hilarious movie. Whilst they're away Barry Manilow (Tom Green) is left to feed the pet snake, funniness follows.

Having seen Road Trip and enjoying so much I thought I would write a review on it.
The film is about Josh(Breckin Mayer) who has a long distance relationship with a girl named Tiffany is who is in Boston Machachuessets attending university while Josh is attending the University of Ithaca. Josh has been known Tiffany since he was a kid and they have always kept in touch via phone calls and also sending Video tapes to each other, Josh becomes rather ... ...friends to go on a road trip. Because they dont have a car or money for flight they decide to ask this guy called Kyle(DJ Qualls)who is a bit of a geek. I think my favourite part later on is when they borrow a school bus from a blind school which I find hillarious but I will let you watch the film without divulging anymore information about it.
Also I have not mentioned the actor Tom Green who is also in the film, he plays a charachter called Barry ...
