Getting medieval
Review of Pulp Fiction DVD by BLUESY

Advantages: Script, characters, performances, direction, soundtrack, everything...
Disadvantages: nope

It’s almost vulgar to think of Quentin Tarantino as one of your favourites directors, been the favourite of so many people. But he certainly is one of mines (I’d say my favourite is Tim Burton). This movies director have only directed four films in his entire career (and we are talking about a 12 years career since his debut with ‘Reservoir Dogs’ in 1992). I mean, four movies if we don’t count that chapter of ‘Four rooms’ and we think at ‘Kill Bill’ ... Read review

Ezekiel 25:17
Review of Pulp Fiction DVD by jonesri

Advantages: Good plot, cast, acting
Disadvantages: Requires your complete attention

I remember there being a lot of hype surrounding the release of this film in 1994. Sadly I was too young to go and see it in the cinema so I had to wait for the video to be released before I could find out what all the fuss was about. It was probably a couple of years later before I finally got to see the film but it was well worth the wait and I have been a massive fan both of the film and the director ever since. ** Storyline ** Anyone who ... A ROYALE WITH CHEESE
Review of Pulp Fiction DVD by Pumpkin

Advantages: Hugely entertaining, original and funny.
Disadvantages: Confusing at first viewing, which may deter some people from watching again.

I first saw Pulp Fiction at the age of 17, shortly after it came out. At the time, it went completely over my head – I didn’t understand most of it, and as a result I didn’t like it, and didn’t bother watching it again – until now. After much persuasion by my other half, who was somewhat incredulous that I could find this classic film “pointless” and “silly”, I watched it again this weekend, and I’m glad I did. I can finally see what all the fuss ... Read review

Oh I'm sorry! Did I break your concentration??
Review of Pulp Fiction DVD by eljefe

Advantages: Fantastically woven storyline, quality script
Disadvantages: not for the squeamish...

...effects fests like 'Terminator 2'. Pulp Fiction can also be taken as purely to be enjoyed as the title suggests, like the trashy novels you might like to read, enjoy briefly and then throw away. However for me 'Pulp Fiction' is not a film anyone should enjoy briefly and then throw away, the fact it works so well at all these different levels define its status as a modern masterpiece. For me there are several reasons Pulp Fiction can enjoy this ... Read review

A Cult Film But Why You May Ask
Review of Pulp Fiction DVD by polydeuces

Advantages: Some good early reels, excellent dialogue
Disadvantages: Goes on far too long

Pulp Fiction is often identified as some peoples favourite film. There is no doubt it has acquired cult status as has its director and co-writer Quentin Tarantino. Just as certainly like many cult films it partly but only partly deserves its status in any list of truly great films. Tarantino co-wrote the screenplay with Roger Avary and it was for this that they earned an Oscar. As the film was up against the more politically acceptable Schindlers ... Read review

Ugly, beautiful, dumb and gorgeous
Review of Pulp Fiction DVD by dave27

Advantages: OOO everything
Disadvantages: The violence

...in monster movie making, but Pulp Fiction is his most famous creation and unquestionably his best. It's a great, sprawling, intricate, disgusting, exciting, gripping, hilarious, sleazy, exquisite, gorgeous, convoluted, unfathomable, quirky, bizarre movie which screams out its unique class from every one of its pores. It's an immense piece of clever/stupid art which feels like a combination of chewing gum and classical music has warped the senses and ... Read review

Best ever Tarrantino film
Review of Pulp Fiction DVD by princesssoapy

Advantages: Unusual story that chops and changes!
Disadvantages: Alot of swearing and violence.

Pulp Fiction is one of my favourite films, I love all the films that Quentin Tarrantino has been involved with, but this has to be my most favourite. For a start you have lots of big names like John Travolta, Bruce Willis, Samuel L Jackson, Uma Thurman and Harvey Keitel. Did you also realise that Quentin Tarrantino is also in this film, as he is in all in films. When I first saw this at the cinema it was quite by accident I didn't know anything ... Read review

Advantages: great film
Disadvantages: no extras, no 16x9 enhancement

...years ? If you answered Pulp Fiction then you may proceed past go and continue reading. Those who didn't-well I'll get medieval on yo ass later ! I don't really need to say a lot about the film's plot to people who read this as I'm sure everyone will be familiar with it. It's basically a collection of stories that all interlink with each other in bizarre occurances. Central to it is the duo of Vincent Vega and Jules played by Travolta and Sam ... Read review

Review of Pulp Fiction DVD by iancognito

Advantages: The cast, the plot, the uniqueness of the film
Disadvantages: Only if you loathe violence and swearing

Pulp Fiction, 2 disc limited edition box set Running time 2 hrs 28 minutes Stars: Samuel L Jackson, John Travolta, Harvey Keitel, Ving Rhames, Eric Stolz, Uma Thurman and Bruce Willis. Dir: Quentin Tarantino, 1994. First of all, I make no apologies for this review sounding gushing. I adore this film. For originality of production, script, subject matter and the cast involved, it is first rate. Quentin Tarantino's 1994 modern day masterpiece ... Read review

Tarantino is a Genius
Review of Pulp Fiction DVD by neiltom88

Advantages: brilliant screenplay/dialogues, superb acting
Disadvantages: a bit violent for some

What makes this film so great? I find it hard to put my finger exactly on thr reason why, maybe it's acting or the storyline or the direction. The truth I still not exactly sure, that is why I still watch this film about once a week. Pulp Fiction is the crowning glory of Quentin Tarantino's small collection of films so far. The film is ingeniously split into three parts that all interweave with one another, following a day in the life of gangster ... Read review

Outstanding
Review of Pulp Fiction DVD by whoareyou5

Advantages: Plenty of gangster talk!
Disadvantages: Hard to follow at first watching

In a decade of films increasingly dominated by formula Hollywood offerings, "Pulp Fiction" appeared refreshingly different. Since its 1994 release, it has inspired many imitators but even today, it's still strikingly bold and remains to be eclipsed, even by its creator Quentin Tarantino. As with any landmark movie, more has been written about it than would surely seem healthy. The type of wild and hysterical ranting that has surrounded this picture ... Read review

A quarter pounder with cheese?
Review of Pulp Fiction DVD by johnsy32

Advantages: Modern film, some great dialog
Disadvantages: First time you watch it, it's hard to follow what is going on.

Pulp fiction is a film written and Directed by Quentin Tarantino, who is seen as a bit of a mad man in the movie industry and has always brought something new and shocking to his films. This is no exception, as this is an amazing movie, which has his shocking and surprising moments. The cast is excellent and the actor brilliant, the actors and actresses chosen for the parts were spot on. John Travolta plays a part that you would never have thought ... Read review

THE MOVIE OF MOVIES
Review of Pulp Fiction DVD by heyzl

Advantages: Best Movie in the World
Disadvantages: .

Quentin Tarantino made Pulp Fiction 1994. Starring John Travolta, Samuel L. Jackson, Uma Thurman and many more. That movie is a phenomen of a movie. Quentin Tarantino understands fascinating people. The movie is about two killers, a boxer and a loving gangster duo. The stories of these three parties cross each other. The movie is in a bunch of flash ins. It's not in right time order which makes the movie misunderstanding for people seeing it less ... Read review
