Strangely enough, we never learn his realy name, but in the credits he is called "Hero Boy" so that is what I shall call him throughout the review. The Polar Express DVD I was bought this film for Christmas from my mum as I was complaining that before Christmas I had nothing to watch that would get me into the Christmas spirit. Apart from sitting watching Alistair Sims version of scrooge with my dad which in my view is not giving as much Christmas spirit as it should. The Polar Express is a superb family feel good film. The Film. Its Christmas Eve, a young lad is struggling to come to terms, with his lack of belief in Santa Claus. Everything is over commercialised, and the only Santa he can see for himself, is the mechanical one in the local department store. ...all time, it looks amazing, the characters are adorable and the overall feeling you get from watching this is magical. In my opinion Polar Express is the perfect film to watch at christmas time with all the family, both of my children (aged 4 & 5 the first time they watched it) loved it. The polar express is an overall good DVD with only a few imperfections that make it's total score 3 stars. (Satisfactory.) The story is a great one about a boy who doesn't believe in Christmas. As a result, he is chosen to ride the magical "Polar Express," which takes him on a trip into the North Pole. There, he learns the true meaning of Christmas. ...Also, the characters are somewhat boring because you don't get a chance to know them. Overall, the film is definately a satisfactory choice around the holidays.
