...the first. Bring on Pinocchio - another Disney classic which was made in 1940.
It was Disney's second full-length animated feature film, based on Carlo Collodi's nineteenth century children's classic about a wooden puppet who became a real boy. When released, the film won Best Original Musical Score and Best Song Academy Awards with delightful songs such as "When You Wish Upon a Star", "I've Got No Strings" and "An Actor's Life For Me". The story ... ...finishing off making his puppet, Pinocchio and wishing he were a real boy. In a puff of smoke the Blue Fairy appears, waves her wand and brings Pinocchio to life. He is still, however, made of wood and she tells Pinocchio that in order to become a real boy he has to be honest and be able to choose between right and wrong. (A lesson there for all our children).
Pinocchio, however, finds this is not so easy as he is led astray by several colourful ...

Pinocchio is one of the oldest and best known of the early classic Disney full length animations. For those of you who don't know the story (surely there can be hardly anyone in that category), a carpenter carves himself a wooden puppet of a boy because he wants a son so badly. The good fairy waves her magic wand and the puppet comes to life, he gets badly misled by some undesirable types, but eventually redeems himself sufficiently to be granted ... ...... whew!
The cartoon version of the tale is excellent, with some classic, if very mushy and sentimental, music like When You Wish Upon A Star and I've Got No Strings and includes some excellent characters, although it's the baddies who take the honours (how unusual, why has the devil got all the best songs). The Fox and the Cat are good entertainment, but it's the Coachman (remember the scene in the inn, where his face assumes fairly nightmarish ...

ok, the story of a little wooden boy whose nose grew everytime he told a lie, who got taken to a fantasy island for kids by two big baddies and who started to turn into a donkey before being eaten by a whale and getting out again may sound a tad unbeleivable but it makes good entertainment! the most amazing thing in this film is how the little goldfish still manages to stay in his bowl even in the middle of the ocean! its beyond me anyway! and who ...

...a legend in my house! Pinocchio is as everyone knows a puppet, who wants to be a real boy. The story follows his antics from being part of a puppet show to going to Pleasure Island the story really can be taken in two ways, children see the innocence in this little puppet and learn lessons about strangers, but adults see the darker side of Walt Disneys story telling and really it was ahead of time addressing alot of the issues that parent really ...

Disney's Pinnochio is another one of the disney classics that was not made by the modern computer technology, but was instead made by artists designing each frame. A good kids movie but no good for anyone else in my opinion. It may have it's good points but overall it is boring. Everyone knows what happens throughout the film from word of mouth and advertising and watching the film does not give you any more ideas as to the plot. Basically, a puppet ...

This legendary animated feature is surely beyond criticism by now and, furthermore, it's ... more
unlikely that we'll see such forceful narrative in a kids' cartoon ever again. Disney's treatment of Collodi's story of the little wooden puppet who wants nothing ...
