Pinocchio is one of the oldest and best known of the early classic Disney full length animations. For those of you who don't know the story (surely there can be hardly anyone in that category), a carpenter carves himself a wooden puppet of a boy because he wants a son so badly. The good fairy waves her magic wand and the puppet comes to life, he gets badly misled by some undesirable types, but eventually redeems himself sufficiently to be granted ...

The cartoon version of the tale is excellent, with some classic, if very mushy and sentimental, music like When You Wish Upon A Star and I've Got No Strings and includes some excellent characters, although it's the baddies who take the honours (how unusual, why has the devil got all the best songs). ...toymakers rivals wants to steal pinocchio for his circus show. This is where his adventure begins. He ends up being swallowed by a whale and Jimminy Cricket has to get the toy maker to save him. Unfortunately, for some reason when Pinocchio lies his nose grows large. Disney's Pinnochio is another one of the disney classics that was not made by the modern computer technology, but was instead made by artists designing each frame. A good kids movie but no good for anyone else in my opinion. It may have it's good points but overall it is boring.
