...slightly obsessed by all things Peter Pan. I never got round to seeing it in the cinemas, even though i'd wanted to, but i eventually got it a couple of christmases ago on DVD. Sure enough i was transported into Never Land, with it's fluffy clouds, fairies and giant ticking crocodiles. Peter Pan, J.M. Barrie's classic is brought to life in this film. From the capture of Pan's shadow through to the battle on Hook's ship the story is enthralling. Wendy is told that the time for games with the boys and stories of pirates is over, and that she must begin to learn to be a woman. ...wedding (Hogan) brings to us peter pan, a mega budget extravaganza. Jeremy Sumpter who plays peter pan has not been able to capture a brave spirit when compared to the ageless peter pan. Sumpter is a child in the movie and is great to see him sky rocketing around the imaginary never land thus separating him from robin Williams the actor of hook which is the older version of peter pan.
