Advantages: 'Disney', what more can I say... Disadvantages: Not as dark as the original tale
...that through out versions of Peter Pan, the actor playing the villain Captain Hook also plays the role of Mr Darling. Their children, Wendy, Michael and John are met by the cheeky green-clad figure of Peter Pan, 'the boy who never grew up' who leads them on a journey of excitement and adventure to 'Never Land'. There are memorable characters such as Tinkerbell (now a huge Disney merchandising icon... I used to have tinkerbell pajamas and slippers ... ...still much good and ultimately Peter and friends win. Neverland is a paradise. Good guys have many allies, the Red Indians helping out the Lost Boys whereever possible. And ultimately evil and evil cancel each other out with the crocodile that swallowed the alarm clock coming back for Captain Hook's second arm once he so enjoyed eating the first.
The incompetance of the pirates is a constant source of amusement, while everyone likes the good guys. ...

Peter Pan was released back in 1953 and was the 14th ever Disney animated film to hit our screens. As ever popular now and very well known this is one of those classic films that everyone probably will have seen at some point! The story:
The Darling family live happily in London and the three children Wendy, John and Michael, all love the bedtime stories of Peter Pan - the boy who lives forever as a child in Neverland with the lost boys and Tinkerbell ... ...it is not long before Peter has them flying in the sky. Off they all go to Neverland where many adventures take place including the evil pirate Captain Hook and his sidekick Smee, mermaids and the Indian tribal village. Can Wendy and her brothers ever return home?

Advantages: Fun Fun Fun and Ever So Cute Disadvantages: I Don't Think There Are Any..
...behind the scene of making Peter Pan which is a really fascinating look back on how they did films in 1953. You can also get commentary from the actors as the film is playing and subtitles in English, for those who have hearing impairment in English as well, Greek and Arabic.
