...catching with the face of Paul Blart. The main character looked familiar but I was not sure who it was. The interesting thing about this film is that it is released by Happy Madison’s Pictures owned by top comedian Adam Sandler. I thought it had to be good as I am a fan of Adam Sandler. Paul Blart: Mall Cop is the newest release from Happy Madison Pictures, Adam Sandler’s film production company. I am a big Adam Sandler fan and usually enjoy these films so settled down to watch this film with every intention of it being good.

...collapse. Paul is a chucky, overweight guy, whose lack of a love life seems to be of more concern to his mother and daughter, than to Paul himself. Because he has his eyes on Amy, who’s recently set up a stall in the middle of the mall. On Black Friday, which is the busiest year of the shopping calendar a gang of thieves, armed with a gun and skateboards enters the mall and take 6 people hostage, one of whom is Amy. Paul is determined to protect ... ...Unfortunately Kevin James who played Paul wouldn’t know comic timing if it hit him in the face (going by this performance anyway) and every single joke or comic element fell absolutely flat. Normally my kids laugh themselves silly at any humour that involves bodily noises or slapstick accidents, but there wasn’t a peep out of them throughout the film. ===DVD Extras === Not a lot here either, a commentary, a couple of trailers and some deleted scenes. ...

Advantages: Provides some light entertainment, some funny moments Disadvantages: Pretty predictable stuff, rather formulaic
...- Story - Paul Blart Mall Cop is all about a rather podgy man who wasn't fit enough to make it as a cop at the police academy, so he ends up taking a job as a security guard at a local mall, where he polices the mall on a segway (one of those futuristic two wheeled motorised scooter things). One day, Paul spots an attractive young woman and doesn't feel too confident about getting with her but things take a turn for the worse when a bunch of thugs ... ...hostages including Pauls new flame. Paul is unaware of the situation being distracted by something else as everyone else evacuated, so it ends up being up to him to save the day but can he do it?! you'll have to watch the movie to find out, of course! - Thoughts & Opinions - This movie reminded me of the family friendly comedy movies of the late 80s and early 1990s. Its pretty predictable stuff and its not particularly memorable, though there are ...

...job to become a cop, Paul Blart (Kevin James) takes on his role as a security guard in a New Jersey mall with much enthusiasm. As an overweight and devoted single father, Blart patrols the mall on his two-wheeled Segway, making occasional stops at the stall of Amy (Jayma Mays), a beautiful sales assistant, who he is secretly in love with. On Black Friday, the busiest shopping day of the year, the mall is taken over by a gang of thieves who take hostages ... ...the group of thieves. Will Paul Blart save the mall and those within it or will he fail and let everyone down like people are expecting of him? Although this movie has had some average reviews with people saying it hasn't been as funny as they thought it would, I really cannot see where they were coming from and think they must have been watching a completely different film! I thought Paul Blart: Mall Cop was a brilliant and completely funny watch ...

Advantages: Easy to watch and funny Disadvantages: Nothing special, script could have been a bit better
...the day. Kevin James plays Paul Blart, the guard who has always wanted to be a state trooper .... but has always failed the health test on account of his hypoglycaemia.
When the mall is taken over by a gang of crooks determined to make a mint of money, Blart is the only man who can rescue the hostages and save his precious mall from being robbed. Well, him and his trusty scooter!
It starts off by setting the scene quite well, introducing all the ... ...cringeworthy scenes where they inevitably all start embarrassing themselves. The film completely focuses on Blart, his family and his affections for Amy, one of the stall owners in the mall.
The action parts are comedic, yet well designed, incorporating some situational comedy that Kevin James is so used to with the TV series The King of Queens. He is supported well by a decent cast. Again, there is nothign over the top here, no Oscar worthy performances ...

Advantages: Gang of Crooks Disadvantages: Kevin James At His Poorest, Not Funny
...*****Plot***** Paul Blart is a mall cop (who would have guessed ) who takes his role a little bit more seriously than his fellow mall cops. He gets his chance to shine when a gang of crooks takes over the mall. *****Opinion on Cast***** I was looking forward to seeing this mainly because Kevin James was starring in it. However, I didn't really like him in this role. It seemed like he was trying to hard and was much better in 'I Now Pronounce You ... ...the movie was probably that the gang of crooks seemed to be made up of a group of free-runners and skateboard/bmx freestylers, which made some scenes more exciting and good to watch. 5/10......Wouldn't recommend, review headline could easily have been : Paul Blart : Mall Flop ...
