...off the job in Vegas Ocean's 11 vanished into retirement, all taking a separate direction and enjoying their money. The day they all dreaded has arrived as Vegas casino boss, Terry Benedict turns up demanding his money back with interest within 2 weeks. As they are now too hot to work in Vegas they head to Europe to try and get as much cash as they can, as quickly as they can. This leads them into a head to head competition with a European master ... ...fair to say that while Ocean's Twelve isn't as good as Ocean's Eleven or even Thirteen, it is still a good movie and provides just over 2 hours of entertainment that holds your attention as you try and keep track of what's already happened and what might be about to happen. As well as the return of the original cast, director Steven Soderbergh returns to keep the original team together. He is obviously a well established director and producer and ...

Ocean's Twelve Danny and his gang are back and this time the heist is bigger than ever. Ocean's Twelve follows on from the Ocean's Elven movie. Ocean's Twelve was released in 2004 and follows the same format as the other movie. It's a heist caper with lots of comedy thrown in. The ensemble cast is full of celebrity and I think they work well together. Like I said Ocean's Twelve follows on from Ocean's Eleven. Danny Ocean and his guys previously were ... ...Las Vegas. However, the owner of the casino's, Terry Benedict played by Andy Garcia, knows it's them and he wants his money back. He manages to get to each one of them and threaten them with paying the money back within two weeks, including interest!! Well, what do you do when you have just stolen $160 million dollars, you spend it of course, lavishly and now the gang are short by about half. So, what do you do when you need to pay back some money ...

Advantages: Has about two fun moments.... Disadvantages: Otherwise very boring and full of redundant "style" that dosent work.
The reason Steven Soderberg's remake of OCEANS ELEVEN was enjoyed by so many was simple, it was fun and didn't take itself seriously. It was fast paced and the final heist was one of the best you've seen on film. With its sequel however Soderberg seems to have taken everything that made his original good and decided to not concentrate on any of it and to put no finer point on it OCEANS TWELVE is a failed mess in almost every respect.
The film takes ... ...gang of crooks are all living the high life until Terry Benedict, the casino owner they ripped off catches up with them and demands his money in 14 days or will have them all killed. The film then moves to Amsterdam where they have to figure out how to rip enough people off to get the money.. And that's about it really, but the thin plot is stretched even thinner over the films run time and there is such a painful lack of characterisation that you ...

Advantages: great cast, good story, decent soundtrack, not bad sequel, Disadvantages: lack of DVD extras, bit of a confusing ending,
Ocean's Twelve is the sequel to the hit crime/comedy "Ocean's Eleven", which reprises the all star cast including George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Andy Garcia, Julia Roberts, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Matt Damon.
Three years has passed since Ocean (Clooney) and his gang had stole $160 million from Terry Benedict's (Garcia) casinos, as well as his lover and now Oceans wife (for the second time) Tess (Roberts). Thinking each of them are in the clear, they ... ...using the share of the money stolen. However Lady Luck isn't smiling on the eleven as Benedict has tracked them down and wants one thing: his $160 million plus interest - a total of $198 million.
Unfortunately for Ocean, Rusty (Pitt) and the rest, they only have 14 days to get the money and the worst of it is after frivilous spending, they need close to $100 million and they can't "work" in the US.
How do the gang get the money: performing small ...

I'm going to have a crack at reviewing this DVD. I'm not a particularly avid film watcher so I will just give you my thoughts and feelings rather than an in depth technical review. All of your comments, good or bad, will be gratefully received!
Having thoroughly enjoyed Oceans Eleven I thought I would treat my hubby and I to the sequel, to watch whilst our girls were away on Sea Scouts camp. So we sat down after a nice Chinese takeaway and popped ... ...from the first film with the basic plot being that the guy Danny Oceans' gang fleeced in 'Eleven' wants his money back, and soon! As they have already spent their share of the first scam they have to come up with a way of raising $160 million. I shan't give away any more of the plot - I don't think there is much more anyway, so here are my thoughts.
This film has a star studded cast including George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Julia Roberts, Catherine Zeta-Jones, ...

Advantages: There's a great cast Disadvantages: The great cast is barely used
Ocean's Eleven was a rarity in the film world, a remake that was by far superior to the original. This isn't a criticism of the original, I like it, but without the Rat Pack it simply would not have been a hit. Sure, the remake had its fair share of stars, but the much cleverer plot would have seen it be a hit even in less capable hands.
It's an established fact that with a few rare exceptions (Godfather Part II, Empire Strikes Back) sequels never ... ...the man now involved with Ocean's ex-wife Tess (Julia Roberts).
The robbery goes to plan, and each of the crew walks away with their share of 160 million dollars.
Ocean's Twelve picks up three years later. Benedict's insurance company has picked up the cost of the robbery, but he's taking the theft somewhat personally. Having tracked down the members of the team he demands his money back - with interest…that's 190 million.
Fairly unsurprisingly ...

*****Ocean's Twelve*****
*****The Plot*****
Ocean's Twelve was the much awaited sequel to the 2001 film Ocean's Eleven. In the first film Danny Ocean (Clooney) and his ten friends, an assortment of skilled criminals, rob three top Vegas casinos, all owned by Terry Benedict (Garcia), and walk away with 160 million. At the end of the first film the eleven go their separate ways, each with a cut of the money. Ocean's Twelve starts with the reunion ... ...it was Ocean's men that raided his high security vaults and he gives the gang two weeks to pay his money back, with interest. The only trouble is the boys haven't been too careful with the cash, and most of it's gone.
Ocean comes up with a plan involving stealing a precious artefact to pay back Benedict's 160 million. The plot is hindered by Interpol agent Isabel Lahiri (Zeta-Jones), who is on their case, and professional thief François Toulour ...

Ocean's Twelve is the sequel to the 2001 smash hit Ocean's Eleven. It again stars George Clooney as Danny Ocean, who again has to bring his original team back together again when Terry Benedict (Andy Garcia) finds them all and demands his money back. The team now have the job of returning all of Benedict's money or face going to jail. But they may have a way out, in the shape of premier thief Francois Toulour, who will pay the entire amount if they ... ...I love Ocean's Eleven, it's one of my favourite films, and I was disappointed when this failed to live up to my expectations. Perhaps I shouldn't have expected as much, sequels very rarely match the first films in terms of quality. I am glad they got the entire cast back together, using someone else wouldn't have worked as well, as the eleven have such a good chemistry together, thankfully that is something that hasn't changed from the first one. ...

Advantages: The Entrapment spoof Disadvantages: Too many errors & pointless scenes
Basically this is the same cast returning from Oceans Eleven and this time they are performing ANOTHER robbery to pay off the money they stole in the 1st movie with interest. Sadly thats really the only kind of interest that is in the movie as its a catalogue of huge plotholes starting with the title itself. We have a robbery where nothing is stolen by the eleven (is that even actually a robbery then?) as they are beaten to their target by another ... ...thief by stealing a Faberge Egg. The movie can actually get fairly dull in places (lots of places if I'm honest) and if your anything like me you will be wondering why they are even exploring certain aspects of the plot. Its probably far more fun to point out the glaring errors such as:- Never at any time are there 12 people in the crew. Error 1. If they've taken the egg before it ever reached the museum then why is Tess ever sent for? Its pretty ...

...continuation from the remake of Ocean's 11. While many sequels fail to delivery and expectation, Ocean's 12 is as cunning and deceiving as it's predorcesser. This is a star studded film casting some of the biggest name's in Hollywood in what is another great robbery in film history. There are many twists and turns in the plot, some witch you can see coming and others which just surprise. Brad Pitt and George Clooney once again charm there way through ... ...the plot where Julia Roberts (who plays Ocean's wife) has to pretend to look like Julia Roberts The Hollywood star. A bit corny. On the whole this film is a relaxing film to watch if your not after blood and violence, theres something in it for everyone. A must see. ...
