Costner Shines! (Yes Really!!!!)

Advantages: Great remake of two classic movies
Disadvantages: Sold poorly to the audience

...turn round and say that No Way Out was his best movie, I for one am in agreement. For once that slightly wooden slightly aloof stance he has about him (and that he delivers to every single movie he has ever been in; with the exception of Fandango), actually suits the character he plays here, also at the time the movie was made Costner was a rising star and had not got the idea that he could make movies as well as star in them. The movie itself is ...
...the big selling point for No Way Out is that on its second re-make it finally got things right. That being said my biggest issue with No Way Out was that due to what I believe to be bungled advertising at the time it was made blatently apparent whom the actual killer of Susan way, personally I believe that should this identity have remained secret that the film would have achieved a much wider success than it did. The plus side for you potential ...

Find A Way Out Of Watching This

Advantages: A good premise
Disadvantages: The rest is terrible!

...fantastic or dire and unfortunately No Way Out fits into the latter category, in this case nothing seems to go right in the films format. It’s 114 minutes long and unfortunately 60 odd minutes of this is engorged with the affair, some might argue that it’s setting the scene and yes I agree it was necessary to witness the affair in order to know what’s going on however it could have been done in half the time. The plot is extremely slow and contrived, ...
...the plot because he’s got no reason to play the bad guy, rumours of homosexuality are hinted at throughout the film however these never come to any conclusion so it’s left to the audience’s imagination as to why Scott Pritchard (Will Paton) becomes the unwanted villain. Having said that, he does play the role of the antihero well, giving him a sinister edge which leads you to think that nobody’s safe. Kevin Costner was the best part in the film, ...

My favourite film of all time!

Advantages: intense suspense, Costner looks great, smooth and slick, Pritchard the sinister aide!
Disadvantages: superfluous ending twist, subsequent viewings not as good as first, lack of extras on DVD

No Way Out is quite simply one of the best films ever made in my opinion! It relies very much on the fast pace and the element of surprise - there are many twists and turns. So if you haven't already seen it I urge you with all my heart and film-loving soul not to read the following paragraphs of plot detail until you have. It truly will spoil the film - it would have for me anyway. The first viewing is amazing but subsequent viewings cannot match ...
...romantic and sexy, you have no idea what a tense and fast ride you are going to end up getting with this film! The suspense gets so high I was punching my duvet on the bed shouting 'no way! no way!' Slightly embarassing to admit but true nonetheless. And yes Kevin Costner does look amazingly fit in his slim fitting white navy uniform. This is when he is in his early thirties. The sex scene in the back of the limo is very erotic and sensual. The plot ...
