Night at The Museum 2 - I Wish They Really Did Come to Life!

Advantages: Great special effects - Great comic acting
Disadvantages: Some of the characters might not mean alot to children

...to see this sequel last night and I have to say that I was quite impressed. I never expect much from sequels, but this surprised me and I felt still had a quality script and excellent acting. ===What’s it all about?=== Well, whilst you could watch this film as a standalone film, it would be better if you watched the first film or at least got a synopsis, so that you can understand where Larry the main character is coming from. Larry Daley (Ben Stiller) ...
...in New York as a night guard to pursue growing his successful household gadget business. I don’t think is a plot spoiler to point out that at night the exhibits of the museum come to life and that is what is so special about both films in the first place - any trailer will of course point this out. Whilst Larry has been busy with expanding his company – the board who look after the museum have been busy trying to update what they offer. This means ...

Keep this one in the museum

Advantages: Some funny moments
Disadvantages: A big disappointment

I quite enjoyed Night At The Museum: it was a fresh and new style of film, with the quirky comedy of Ben Stiller added in for good measure. I was not surprised when I heard there would be a sequel, and on the plane on our way back from Canada the other day, it was the first of two films showing. Following on from where the first film left off, it follows Larry Daley, now a high flying entrepreneur, as he returns to defend his friends he made as ...
...must return as the ultimate Night Guard to save everyone and restore the museum back to its intended state. I was really looking forward to this film, and I have to say I was rather disappointed. I was initially confused as to the problem, and then the coincidence that Kahmunrah came to life to achieve domination just as Larry turns up, it was just unbelievable. The cast do a decent job, with returning actors such as Owen Wilson, Steve Coogan and ...

Creatures that go bump in the night

Advantages: Funny, full of history
Disadvantages: None

Night at the museum was an extremely funny movie and I was hoping that number 2 would be just as funny. Sometimes with sequels they are never as good and I think the reason why number 1 worked was because it was new and different, would 2 be just a similar story again, rehashed to make a sequel? Well, I didn't have to worry, number 2 was just as funny as number 1 and had enough different elements to keep it fresh and interesting. I think it has that ...
...appeal to adults too. Night at the Museum 1 featured a night guard, played by Ben Stiller. Larry Daley worked the night shift when no one else was in the museum but he was not alone. Due to an ancient egyptian artifact, the exhibits came to life and had many adventures during that time. The new movie is entitle Night at the Museum - Battle of the Smithsonian. Larry has now left the museum and made a success of himself. He sometimes goes back to the ...
